I have decided to sell my 1997 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado Extended Cab Truck. I have owned the truck since August of 2011 and purchased it with 64,000 miles. I bought it thinking I would be using it more for my business, but that has not been the case, and I just decided recently that for the little amount I do use it, well it makes no sense to keep the insurance on it when I have another vehicle that suits my needs. Anyway I have put a little over 8,000 miles on it in the last year and five months that I have owned it. The truck has been very good to me and I have had little expense with the exception of a complete tune up when I purchased it, some brakes, and a front end alignment. All instruments and power options are in working order. That is power windows, power locks, Power mirrors, Power seat with lumbar, cruise, tilt, air conditioning, 4 wheel high & low, CD player, etc are all in working order. The truck is equipped with a 5.7L V-8 and it does have tow hitch on the back, that was on it when I purchased it and I have not used it. I do not have the draw bar or ball mount for the hitch, as I said I did not use it and did not get this when I purchased it. Truck has split bench seat with lift up storage console, rear sliding window and bedliner. Okay with what I have said I will now try to be as picky as possible to let you know of any flaws or things I believe are worthy of mentioning, and may or may not need replacement with in the near future. First Let me start with the interior, there are a few very small minor burns in the front seat cloth, but none are completely through the cloth, they are small, but I wanted to mention them. Next the cloth headliner above has a few small tears in the cloth, and they were there when I purchased the truck. Again nothing major, but I want you to know exactly what you are getting. There is a cargo light switch inside on the dash and when you flip it the light in the back of the bed should light so you can see at night, but this is not working, and I have never checked it, so it could be as simple as a bulb. With that said the rest of the inside is very nice and clean, free of any cracks or damage to any of the dash or other parts of the inside. Again all equipment and power options are in working order. Alright moving to the outside of the truck. The body is straight and clean, there is some very minor bubbling just starting on the lower rockers where it is silver, but these are still solid as well as the doors and door jambs being solid. The front edge of the hood has two quarter size spots that have been touched up at one time or another. Just remember I am being very picky, but want to be honest for the new buyer. The back cap window closes, but at times it shifts on the track alittle to one side or the other and I just tap it to get it back in place. There are two handle locks on the back of the cap window and these turn and close fine, but I do not have the lock key for them. If I was going to keep the truck I was just going to eventually buy a new fiberglass cap for the truck, but again it is still usable and works, so that would be something you could decide at a later time. The last thing I can think of is the rear tires have some cupping to the outside edge, inside tread is fine, but I am pretty fussy, so I would eventually replace them. The fronts are really good with no cupping and plenty of tread. I cannot think of anything else worth mentioning, and I hope I did not seem to nit picky, but I as a buyer would like to know as much as possible about my purchase. This is a really nice truck and with only 72,000 miles it has a long life ahead. If you are looking for a decent truck that is clean and you can rely on and drive anywhere, then I would certainly consider this truck. The truck has 72,221 miles on it, but I will need it for the rest of this week, and will most likely put less then 150 miles on it. If it sells on the closing date I will wash it and park it in my garage until pick up. Do a Carfax on this truck and you will see it has no issues and it has never been in a accident. The truck was a local truck with it's whole history in Wisconsin, and original owner took delivery of it 2/15/97, he drove it until it was traded in a local auto dealership where I purchased it on 8/22/11. My starting price is extremely reasonable, considering the truck and the mileage. I decided to make this a no reserve auction and take my chances, giving all bidders a real chance to own it without wondering what a reserve price might be. I will require a $500 deposit through paypal upon auction closing. I will require cash upon pick up, I will not take any other form of payment, so please do not ask if you can pay by check, debit or cashiers check. Payment must be made in cash only!!!! If you plan on having it shipped to your destination then this will be something that you will need to arrange. If you are having it shipped by a company then I could talk to my bank and see how a direct wire transfer for payment can be made. So if you are going to pick it up, you will need to bring cash for the pick up. If you are arranging shipping, we will need to figure out how a direct wire transfer can be made to my bank.
