Vehicle Detail

Our store project vehicles are beginning to stack up around here and we need to let go of several before we can start some new projects for Tuner Tools. This 1969 Mustang Coupe, as well as a 2004 Chevy SSR, 92 Jeep Wrangler, 1996 Civic and a 1990 Miata are all on the list to be moved out of the shop to make some room. This Mustang is clean, clear title, never been in any accident or had any significant body repair and ride and drive is perfect. Like many of us car guys have done, there is far more spent on this build than the asking price and the build is fresh with less than 3000 miles on the car since everything from the front suspension, engine, and new Moser rearend have all be professionally done. This was intended as a graduation present for my son who has chosen (wisely) to buy a home instead :-) 1969 Mustang Coupe Engine is a professionally done new built 1967 289 (less than 3000 miles on the engine) .040 bore, new 9:1 pistons, Crower valve train, springs & cam, new MSD distributor & 6AL ignition, new Edelbrock intake & Holley 650. Engine is a mild build (approximately 400 HP) as this project was intended for my son who is not an experienced driver, but the drive train is built to handle 800 HP easily 5 point roll cage, but with the back seat maintained. All original console, shifter & even the Grande option clock in the dash. Seats are good, upholstery looks new although I didn't build it and it has a nice custom stereo system including dual external amps, capacitor & subwoofers. I purchased, but have not installed, Ford Racing OEM side mirrors Professionally tubbed and narrowed Rear end is a new Moser 9" Ford, 4:57 gear ratio, narrowed & new axles, new differential, essentially a brand new build. 4 Link suspension, professionally done and all new end links. Brand new Mickey Thompson 6565 Sportsman Pro Tires 33 x 21.5-15 Front end has all new brakes, steering box, tie rods, ball joints, center link, power steering assist cylinder. Front wheels & tires are new (Anything listed as "new" is less than 3000 miles on the build) 10 Gallon fuel cell, new sender & gauge Like many of us car guys have done, there is far more spent on this build than the asking price and the build is fresh with less than 3000 miles on the car since everything from the front suspension, engine, and new Moser rearend have all be professionally done. This was intended as a graduation present for my son who has chosen (wisely) to buy a home instead :-) Remaining work, just to be fully up front and honest with you: * Steering column has some minor play, I drive it almost daily so its not bad, but I would put a new steering column in if I were to continue this project * There is some minor trim missing along the front edge of the hood & headlight rings (all available easily) * Body is sound, solid and the paint looks great at 15-20 feet, but there are small spots where the paint has a couple of nicks and generally needs a good refresh to call it show ready. But it is a great cruising car as is and you have to be a "show" critic to pick it apart. Just saying, again, if I were to continue this project, I would plan on a fresh paint job. * Shifter has a bit of play and needs the bushings replaced (easily available bushing kits) The car looks good, runs & drives great and it's even dependable as a daily driver. It's impressive and turns heads with the narrowed & tubbed rearend and while the current (brand new) engine is a mild build, that rearend will easily handle 800 HP should you wish to do an engine swap or leave it as is for the less experienced to drive and do car shows with. This is a very good project car and the "project" is itself effectively done already. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
