Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford Ranchero Brougham, runs and drives, needs TLC. This truck has been undergoing a slow and "amateur" restoration. The previous owner had the body redone, with some patches put on the lower rear quarters, I would call this a 20-footer. It looks pretty good from a distance, but upon closer examination the flaws are visible. The vehicle seems to be mostly original, under the hood I believe to be stock, with the air conditioning, etc all hooked up. In the last 2-3 years it has had a new gas tank and a fuel pump. It starts, drives, and would possibly be driven home. The rear tires are fairly new, mounted on stock 14" steel wheels, with factory hub caps. The exhaust appears to be stock, with original catalytic converters still in place. I don't know if they are full or empty. The muffler is a stock type, and the tail pipe is there, but has a hole rusted in it. The front seat is non-original, I believe it is out of a Chevy S-10. The headliner is missing. Carpet looks nice, probably been replaced. Dash lights don't work, I was told the speedometer cluster needs replaced. Mileage is unknown. The floorboard is rusty, with some patching done over the years. I have put up two pictures of the rust. I would like payment within 10 days. The car can be left here for 30 days or so no problem. Located in Southern Illinois, about 90 miles south of Mt. Vernon, and near Paducah, KY, and Cape Girardeau, MO. You are welcome to inspect this before bidding, and also if you have questions or need more pictures, just ask. Please do so before the last day.On Nov-11-12 at 12:07:05 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked which engine this has, it is the small-block, either a 302" or 351"-W. Also, the truck has just had a steering column replaced, it is a tilt column that works good.
