You are bidding on an ALL original 62 impala. It has never been messed with. Car is white with red interior,original 283 with auto trans. Motor runs great fires right up. I purchased the car to swap a ls1 drive train in it but have decided to sell it. The car has the usual rust spots in the floor boards(plan was to do a one piece pan) rear trunk well(plan was to just repair drop off with repair panel). It does have some minor rust in the corner of the inner wheel house where it meets trunk floor(see pics), and rust in the front edges of quarter panels(in front of tire). The frame is NICE. The car would be killer to leave as is(exterior) and drop a late model drive train in it( I have a 62 convertible like this now). The interior is all original and needs redone(they sell the correct OEM covers and door panels for the impalas so it will look factory). The cars starts right up and moves around(it needs wheel cylinders and flexible brake lines replaced). The tank has been removed and car runs off a little gas can so it can be moved around. Motor has has recent tune up. All glass is intact except windshield is broken. All stainless is in good shape. You don't see these 2 door hardtops very often that haven't been turned into low riders.
