Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on an extremely nice and well kept 2002 Ford Excursion. It is 4 wheel drive and most importantly it has the 7.3 liter power stroke diesel. I have owned this truck for 7 yrs and I believe that I am the 2nd owner. It had around 80,000 miles when I bought it and it now has 213,000 and some change. It is without a doubt the best vehicle I've owned. I just bit the bullet on a new F150 Eco boost so its time to pass along this ride to a new owner. The factory items are as follows: 7.3 Power stroke Diesel 3.73 gears with limited slip 4x4 works great power seats heated seats heated mirrors AC blows cold Rear TV/VCP- Not sure if it works, its been years since we've used it Rear heat and A/C digital climate control with auto Keypad entry with keyless remotes Tow Package Limited with color keyed bumpers Leather Here is a list of recent updates and repairs in the last year: Whole front end gone thru to replace all worn parts which included ball joints, wheels bearings on both sides Warn Manual locking hubs (stock auto locks froze up at 200k) Brakes on all four corners (pads, rotors, and 1 or 2 calipers were all new just a few months ago) Alternator New Electric trailer brake controller. Top of the line. I paid $170 for this over the 4th of July. Its a multifunction, really nice unit. New batteries (one is 6 months old, the other was replaced today 09-14-12) Always ran Rotella T or Delvac oil. I'm sure that there is more on the "new" list, but thats what comes to mind. Some other items on it that have been installed over the years: 2010 SuperDuty 20" wheels- gives the truck a whole different look. Updated it many many years. I get compliments very often on what a sharp truck it is. Muffler delete with large chrome tip. Looks good, not too loud. Its a little loud with windows down and if there is a gaurd rail on the passenger side. going down the road with windows up its stock sounding Hypertech Programmer installed at 100k. Improved performance, and definate mileage adder. It gets 15 MPG around town on average. I've seen as good as 24.2 on the highway which was cruise at 70 with a slight tail wind. I'd say that consistantly it reads 20 mpg on the highway if you drive at reasonable speeds and have passengers. 15/20 is what I'd call the city/highway split. Tinted from windows- 35% looks sharp Custom intake- this is noisy. You can really hear the turbo spool up and blow off. Though I like it, it could be annoying to some on a daily basis. You could reinstall a stock airbox if you wanted to muffle it. (I don't have) Husky liner front mats and rear cargo tray. Here is a list of things that are not perfect: Front seats show a lot of wear. The drivers seat is worn out in my oppinion and needs to be replaced. You can find a pair on ebay to replace, or have a just a new cover. Rear seats show wear from obviously 200,000 miles of use and 4 kids. But they are not ripping like the front. Drivers door molding cut back. See close up pic. TV/VCP I don't know if they work. It plays, but the screen is blank. Its been a long time since we've even tried it, but I recall it not working the last time we tried to. Rear tires are so so. They are not shot, but they don't have the life that the fronts do. I'm not good with % as its a matter of interpretation in my oppinion, but I'd call the fronts at 75% and the rears at 25%. This truck is ready to jump in and go another 200k in. I've seen others for sale and in my oppinion none of them resemble the look and condition of this truck. It truely is a hot ride for a 10 yr old 200,000 mile truck. I get more compliments on this than I do my new ecoboost. My reserve is set reasonable, and it is for sale locally. I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time if sold locally. jbakker1101@gmail.com is the quickest way to contact me with any questions. I will be posting pics as soon as possible. Overall, its an incredible truck that has hauled my family all over the country. I drove it to Florida in February of 2012, and would not hesitate to take it anywhere in the world tomorrow. It is a rock solid truck that has a ton of life left. I On Sep-16-12 at 04:01:21 PDT, seller added the following information: The trim on the drivers door is flawed. I have a pic of it, but I reached my max 24 pics and I cannot figure out how to delete a photo to make room for this pic of this molding. Email me if you want a picture of it. jbakker1101@gmail.com On Sep-16-12 at 08:16:04 PDT, seller added the following information: http://bakkerfam02excursion.shutterfly.com/ Link to many other photos of 02 Excursion
