Vehicle Detail
1972 Mustang Mach 1-Q Code Cobra Jet, C6 Auto, 351C 4V. This car includes 2 motors, the first (to the best of my knowledge) is the original 351C with 4V heads, the engine was running but had a vibration so I decided to rebuild it. After tearing it down I found it was .040 over and decided for the performance I wanted that it would be better just to build another engine and save the original. I have about 90 percent of the parts if someone wanted to put the original back together and the bores probably could just be rehoned and the bottom end needs to be balanced to eliminate the issue it had. The second engine is a 410CI Cleveland stroker from Powerheads out of Calif. It was professionally built and balanced and blueprinted to Nascar spec. It has all forged internals with a full comp hyd. roller valvetrain and CHI 3V head ported to "SuperBoss" specs. It should make a very conservative 550+ HP and 550lbs of torque on 91 octane, the engine and heads can support much more with a stouter cam and more compression, but I wanted something very streetable. I have a receipt for all of the engine work at $8200 dollars. The engine is currently in the car but has not been started, it would require a couple of weekends of wrenching to get it ready, and I have probably 95% percent of the parts if not all. I also have new tires, brake system has been almost completely replaced, new steering box, fuel cell with aeromotive SS pump and new 5/8 and 1/2 fuel lines, C6 is rebuilt with new Hughes 2800 convert, new 9" third member with 3.90 gears and traction lok. Lots and lots of mechanical stuff is done or new. The interior on the car is pretty good, it appears most was replaced at some point, the rear seats were dyed black and some of the red color is coming through, it also is missing the rear sail panels. The outside of the car in my opinion is pretty good, the paint is just ok but I haven't found any rust. The car does have some dings and areas that need work, and probably the worst spot would be the passenger side rocker panel has been heavily bondoed and it should have just been replaced, there is also a tear on the rear valence on each side under the vechicle but this is a pretty minor fix. As you can see I basically have lots of money in the drivetrain and valvetrain and this would give someone a great start to finishing this car. I have new baby and we also moved and I don't have room anymore for the car or the time to finish it. Please call with questions-I have done more work to it then I have room to write everything. The car is located about 20 minutes from the Austin TX area. The vehicle is not running and the "buyer" will be fully responsible for shipping/delivery of the car and extra engine, parts, etc. Phone#512-666-5854 or cell phone 512-633-3804. Please leave a message and I will call you right back if I don't catch your call in the first few rings.
