1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe With Matching numbers Serial Number 30837S113871 Eng 327ci 360hp Paint 932A Saddle Tan Interior 490N Saddle Tan Engine Block number 113871 F1221RF Fuel Injection Number 7017375 Serial Number 3786 Transmission appears to read 3430470 the “470” is clear to read. Rear Axle appears to read 3451563 the “63” is clear to read. 1.What do we know “or think we know” about this 1963 Corvette The VIN and Trim plates are attached exactly the way the factory did it. Same spot welds and rivets. It would be virtually impossible to duplicate these. 2.The engine block numbers appear to be authentic as 48 years of the elements leave a wear pattern that I do not believe anyone could duplicate. I am aware that some owners have changed the block numbers however to my knowledge this can only be accomplished by polishing off the old ones and re-stamping the block. This is visually easy to spot. As you can see in the photo with the 113871 the years of corrosion have left an indelible mark . 3.The Fuel Injection ID and serial tags are correct and the rivets holding the tag on appear correct. As is the intake manifold number 3826810. 4.This Corvette went thru an exceptionally good cosmetic restoration not long ago, the paint and interior need nothing. A mechanical overall was not done as this Corvette runs and drives great! The steel wheels and hubcaps are true 1963(one year only) they are not reproductions. As you can see the body fits are true to a 1963 for alignment fit and finish. 5.The transmission is not matching number nor do I think is the axle is. 6.Glass contain “C” code for 1963 7.Bell housing correct #s , The Steering wheel is correct for date of Manufacture, Oil pressure Gage 60 is correct for date of production. 8.Radiator, and Surge tank correct codes, Master brake pump are correct. If you are looking for a near NCRS 1963 Fuel Injected Split window Corvette without paying the price then this car may be as close to it as you will find. This car is owned by a Chevrolet Dealer and was restored in our body shop with a blank check to make it as close to new condition as you can without a frame off restoration. And they did just that.
