Offering for sale is a true and rare hard to find 9 passenger 1958 edsel station wagon for restoration. Most mechanical components are shared with the 1957 through 1959 Ford cars only the body panels are different. The front doors and all the glass actually interchange. That is how similar the edsel is to the ford. Appears to be an original paint unmolested car so there is no surprises. Has lower quarter,floorboard and rocker rust due to mudtrap areas. If you are familiar with 57-9 fords it has all the rust problems common to them due to cowl drain hoses going bad and mudtrap areas. Actually from northern Oklahoma where they do not use salt.This car shows no signs of being in salt. No scabs behind the mouldings or such. Frame looks good. Gas tank brakes,suspension etc. mechanicals will all need attention. Has the original E-400 motor and push button automatic trans. Right rear quarter has been hit but comes with a new tail section to repair it. Missing the radiator. Dash appears to be complete. Missing the boomerang taillights. Needs a windshield and various other flat glass. This is the kind of car I like to start with as it has no surprises or previous bondoed up bad work. If you are into wagons or want something different here is a doable and rare project. I can get a title for an extra $150.00 if buyer wants. I would not be able to release the car for two weeks or so to give the state patrol time to inspect it due to my rural location if purchaser is wanting me to get a title. Most states are not hard to get on a bill of sale on antique/classic cars. I can load onto most anything. Car can stay here at owners risk free up to 6 months. After that other arrangements need to be negotiated.
