Vehicle Detail
Offering for sale is a 1962 chevy impala 2drht for restoration. Appears to be an original unmolested car so there is no surprises. Good color combination of Black exterior and red interior. Has power steering and the linkage and pump are still intact. Has some narrow lower quarter rust and rocker rust due to mudtrap areas. This car shows no signs of being in salt. No scabs behind the mouldings or such. Floors in trunk are 98% with just a small hole at the left side where the trunk kicks up to the shelf leading to the rear seat. Left front floor will need to be replaced as it is through at the outside and just in front of the seat riser. Rear floors are good except a small hole in the left very outside. Right rear appears o.k. Rf is 95% with some getting started on the very outside toward the A pillar. All are patchable with small pieces except the left front it will need a larger piece. Frame looks good. Gas tank brakes, suspension etc. will all need attention. Previous owner said it was a 327 automatic but I do not know as there is no motor or trans. No apparent hail. Needs a windshield. Mouldings are all pretty decent needing a ding or two here and there dealt with. To be nice grille and all mouldings probably should be replaced as all are available. All chrome garnish mouldings appear to be present. Front door panels are missing but rear seat and inner panels are there. This is the kind of car I like to start with as it has no surprises or previous bondoed up bad work. I can get a title for an extra $150.00 if buyer wants. I would not be able to release the car for two weeks or so to give the state patrol time to inspect it due to my rural location if purchaser is wanting me to get a title. Most states are not hard to get on a bill of sale on antique/classic cars.On Jan-10-12 at 14:20:00 PST, seller added the following information: Ebayers have asked about rust inside the hood and trunk lips. The inside and outsides are solid with just minor surface patina here and there and no scale. Also I can help load onto about anything as I have a wrecker and a front end loader.
