Vehicle Detail

Please read the full description! I will not respond to questions that are answered in this description and in the auction's details. If you are looking at this auction, hopefully, you know a bit about these motorcycles. This is a 1967 Triumph T120R Bonneville. Its engine is a 650cc twin cylinder and it has a four-speed transmission. The bike is kick-start only. This is not a bike for a beginner. However, if you know how to ride one and understand their idiosyncrasies and limitations; these old Triumphs are a lot of fun! I am selling this bike for a friend here in Birmingham, Alabama. He bought it from a riding buddy here who had owned it for several years and he has owned the bike for several years now. It is not a show bike, but it is a very nice rider. I have ridden this bike several hundred miles and maintained it for the owner for many years. There is much on the bike that is not original; but it is very complete and the engine and frame have matching numbers. The bike has new coils, new tires, new tubes, new reproduction 'concentric' carbs, new fork boots, new tank isolator rubbers, and new spark plugs. This bike has a Boyer electronic ignition. This Bonneville is running and riding well. I rode it a few weeks ago, in early October, when I replaced the coils. The ammeter is missing its indicator needle and the air valves/chokes are not hooked up - most folks down here do not use the air valves on these old British bikes. For some reason, 'tickling' these carbs takes a while. As far as I know, everything else works. The bike comes with an Alabama registration and notarized Bill of Sale only! There is no title as Alabama does not issue titles for motor vehicles this old; '75 and above only. I can deliver the bike within 300 miles of Birmingham at $1.50 a mile - possible delivery to Charlottesville area of Virginia. I will deliver the bike within 30 miles of downtown Birmingham at no charge. I will take the bike to the local Forward Air terminal and secure it for shipping in one of their dedicated metal crates at no charge. However, the winner must make all arrangements and pay for shipping, as well as the tie-downs and locks that will be required to secure the bike. Buy It Now requires an immediate $250 PayPal deposit. Otherwise, winner pays a $250 non-refundable deposit, which is due 2 business days from auction's end. Balance due within 7 business days from auction's end. For deposit, I accept PayPal, cash in person, certified/cashier's check, or bank to bank wire transfer. For balance I accept cash in person, certified/cashier's check, personal check, or bank to bank wire transfer. For Canadian winners, PayPal only for deposit and bank to bank wire transfer only for balance. Payment in full must be completed and all funds cleared into my account before the motorcycle will be turned over to anyone. This could take two weeks or more for personal checks. Please e-mail me via eBay with any questions or if you need more detailed photos.
