This 1977 T-Top Corvette has been in our family since 1979. It was passed down from Grandfather to Father to Grand-Son. I am selling this car from my son-in –law. He used this car for his daily commute to work for the past year. It was driven 60 miles to my warehouse where we have it stored. The car sounds well and I did have a friend (race car mechanic) listen to the engine. He said it sounded good. This is definitely a project car for the winter months. Imagine giving this car to your child or grandchild for Christmas, and then spending time with him or her restoring this car. They would invest their time into this car, (not a bad idea,) as you invest your time into them. (Also not a bad idea.) Since most kids are out of school over the holidays you might even plan a road trip allowing them to experience the actual before and after knowledge of the project. I’ll bet they would take better care that way. Here’s the basic information. If you need more, just ask. * 1977 Corvette T-Top * 350 CI small block engine. (Not Original) engine suffix TJ2. 4 bolt main casting #3970010. * 600 CFM Edelbrock carburetor with performer EPS aluminum intake. (Heads look like 487 casting) * 3 speed Automatic transmission. * Electric windows work. * Although this car can be driven, the interior needs completely replaced. * Full gauge group and all gauges reportedly operate. * Rubber on tires is excellent as the pictures show. I was told that the wheels are original but have no way of knowing. * This car was originally red and has had a black paint job that is beginning to bubble in some spots. I drove the car a few miles and the acceleration and brakes seemed fine. The car drove straight and easy. There was a muffler rattle. The doors are hard to unlatch but swing easily. I don’t see signs of any accidents. There is a mirror on the driver’s side that is off. I would count on needing new window seals. The T-Tops operated smoothly. I took close-up pictures of the engine as I believe that some high-priced equipment was added.
