This is a WEEKENDER Camper, which means it sleeps 4, seats 6, and is equipped with a fold-out dining table, rear-facing jump seat, under-seat storage and a rear coat closet. NEW Westfalia Decals. 48. NEW Pedal Rubbers. 49. NEW Cup-Holders. 50. NEW Antenna. 51. NEW OEM Factory Blaupunkt Speakers (4) This is an un-molested California vehicle, so has NO rust issues. The body is fairly nice and straight, the doors shut nice and tight, the dashboard is in good shape, the carpeting, door panels are all in very decent shape considering this van is 26 years old! All lights, instruments, wipers, and horn work well. The new 1.9 liter Turbo-Diesel engine with 75 HP is smooth and quiet, partly due to its hydraulic lifters which never need adjusting, and much more powerful and torquey than the original anemic 1.9 liter gasoline engine it replaced, and even though it is NOT broken in yet, having less than 500 miles on it since being installed, allows this van to cruise the Interstate comfortably at 70 MPH all day long without even breaking a sweat! It goes up most hills without having to down-shift and is absolutely a pleasure to drive. The upgraded suspension and cosmetic upgrades greatly improve the handling of this vehicle. This Westfalia is equipped with AC. It is all there with the exception of the compressor and mounting bracket. This WESTFALIA steers straight, the 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, it accelerates and stops well, and goes over bumps nice and quiet. It handles nice and tight. Overall, this is a very nice vehicle, and, with proper maintenance and regular oil changes should last forever. The body of this WESTFALIA was stripped, the windows and everything else bolted onto the body was removed, and re-painted the stock factory Bronze-Beige Metallic color. Almost everything on this vehicle which in our opinion needed repair or replacement has been discarded and replaced with NEW OEM parts. That includes all the items listed above and maybe a few more which we might have over-looked. This WESTFALIA represents excellent value for your money. The selling price reflects pretty much the sum of all the NEW parts and work put into it. All you have to do is to seriously look at the list of parts and upgrades above, and DO THE MATH!! Other restoration shops (YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE) sell similarly restored vehicles for 3 to 4 times more than what we are asking for this fine vehicle! Our huge inventory of parts and resources and in-house labor is the only reason that we are able to do all this and still sell these fine vehicles at an affordable price! There is NO way any private individual could put all these parts, time and work into a similar vehicle for less money than what we are asking for this one all fixed up and ready to go! It looks sharp and runs great, and turns heads everywhere! NOT to mention that Diesel engines get great fuel mileage, and, if you install a Bio-Diesel or WVO kit, you could be running this fine WESTFALIA for next to nothing! This WESTFALIA is ready to drive anywhere. ****NOTE**** FOLKS, ITS TRUE THERE ARE PLENTY OF SUCH VEHICLES OUT THERE IN THE $2000-$5000 RANGE. THIS DOES NOT HOWEVER, HAPPEN TO BE ONE OF THEM.
