Vehicle Detail
I am relisting this car because of nonpayment.. If you don't have at least 3 positive feedbacks and no negatives don't bother bidding as they will be cancelled. Up for auction is my 1975 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, white exterior, white roof, and dark red leather interior. I am listing this car because I haven't the time nor patience to get the necessary work done and I want it off my driveway for the winter. For the past six years I have used it as a summer car out in the, "Hamptons", and have enjoyed every minute of it. Unfortunately, being out in the salt air near the water has taken its toll on the paint and it has weathered to the point where it needs a total repaint and body work I replaced the top about four years ago and I just got finished scrubbing it down with diluted water and bleach and it now looks great. Someone told me that was all it needed. Everything works in the car, power windows, power seat, power antenna, power door locks, power roof, A/C, and the original radio. It has been serviced every 3,000 miles and nothing has been neglected to make it road worthy. The carburetor was rebuilt about six months ago, but I must say, it is still not perfect. The front boots were replaced not too long ago and nothing is leaking and I have the soft boot for the convertible top. Please take a close look at the pictures to analyze the condition of the exterior and interior. There is basically rust/corrosion on all the panels except the hood and trunk lid to attend to as well as tears in the upper front door panel leather material which is covered by tape. The interior is in decent condition for its age although the driver back portion shows some wear. The dash is in nice condition except for one small warpage under the clock, which works intermittently. The only other thing that comes to mind is the passenger side latch for the roof which has a very weak spring and needs to be attended to and there is one ping in the windshield. Almost forgot to mention that the front and rear end fillers have been replaced at great expense with fiberglass fillers as they are more durable and don't crack like the original rubber ones. All in all, it is a very decent driver. This would be a great buy for the guy/gal who has a body and paint shop or the ability to take care of the paint and rust areas. Any questions, please ask and I'll be glad to answer. As of this writing, I'm still using the car on weekends. This car is sold, " as is", without any warranty stated or implied.
