LOOK BRIT BIKE COLLECTORS! RE-LISTED DUE TO A NON-PAYING BIDDER 1970 TRIUMPH TROPHY 250cc PARTS BIKE / RESTORABLE PROJECT - CHEAP!! This 1970 TRIUMPH TROPHY 250cc Single is a mostly complete parts bike – or, a very restorable project bike, given the value of the finished bike and the number of original and reproduction parts available in the marketplace. I could not locate the VIN on the frame - the Engine number is B25B 510, and the engine is stuck. The original wheels and hubs are in good condition - there is rust on about 1/3 of the rear rim - the chrome on the front rim is decent. The rims are straight, and have no tire iron scars or scratches – I changed out the front tire (original was cracked and collapsed) – and I believe these were the original Dunlop K70 tires on the bike! The speedometer shows 3909 miles. The gas tank, headlight glass and rim, front fender, shift lever, exhaust system, and the seat cover foam have gone missing -the original seat pan is intact and solid. The exhaust system is missing - all other parts and pieces appear to be original, including the carb, air cleaner, handlebars and controls, rear fender, swingarm, etc. There are tiny splatters of white paint all over the bike - no clue what happened there. The brake pedal, rear fender, tail light, front and rear footrests, and chain guard are all intact and in good condition. The LH Side cover has a couple very shallow dents on it, and still has the original twist fasteners. You can still see the very faint outline of the original ‘Trophy 250’ decals on the side cover and oil tank. Look the photos over carefully, and ask any questions prior to bidding. This bike needs a thorough rebuild and restoration – but it should be an easy restoration project of a classic British single!
