We have a pretty decent southern Trans Am project for sale. I bought it here in Kentucky. It is for sale on the West KY C-L, so we reserve the right to end this auction early. DRIVETRAIN: It is a small block Chevy 305 V-8 and 700R4 transmission. The car was owned by the previous owner for over 12 years. He had let it sit, but a renewed interest brought him to the point of adding the headers and carb to it and getting it running well. I cannot make any promises about the engine, as I got it pretty much as I am selling it. I have never tried to start it. As a result of this situation this car is sold AS-IS. The engine has a good set of headers on it. They are in good shape and are not all rusty. The new carb, is NOT INCLUDED. I have an original 1980's F-body Quadrajet laying around that can go with it if I find it before the car is picked up or shipped. We are using them on my sons' cars (engine is still sealed as of this time, but these parts are not included). We do have the original valve covers and intake that will go with the car. INTERIOR: Interior is gray and tattered (seats). Dash pad looked pretty good, but has a damaged corner on the driver side. This car was equipped originally with two-tone silver gray interior. It also has carpeted plastics and power antenna (broken mast). BRAKES/TIRES: Brakes are functional and operate properly. Wheels are optional Pontiac rims that came on the car. The car will come with airholders to get it on and off your trailer. I will get the front tire fixed or replaced so it holds air. BODY: Body is pretty decent. It shows no signs of rust through or rust problems of any kind. Not bad for a 27 year old car. It does, however, have some issues with the hood and body ground effects. I have a good nose cone that can go with the car and a good body side skirt for the passenger side. The hood was damaged by a deer when the previous owner was driving the car daily. I have an original steel Formula style hood and a fiberglass Harwood cowl scoop hood that can be bought if you want a hood forn it. Neither of those hoods is included at this price. The damaged original Trans Am hood is what the car will come with. This is a T-top coupe. SUMMARY: This Trans Am is a really decent builder and could be pretty nice with a moderate effort, and as you can well see, it looks pretty good the way it sits. I have a clear title and key(s) for it. It would make a good first car project, father/son (or daughter?) project, weekend cruiser, sleeper or drag car. It's just too nice to part out but if it doesn't sell we will consider selling more stuff off of it. MAY PART OUT IF IT DOESN'T SELL.
