Up for auction today is a 1990 Dodge Ram 350 Dually with tool box bed. NO RESERVE this time. I need it gone. My loss...Truck is automatic and runs on gasoline. 5.9 liter V-8 runs good and the truck drives good. I bought this truck a little over a month ago and then found out a baby is on the way for me. I had big plans for this truck being a good service truck for me and now my plans have changed. This truck shows 34,230 miles on the odometer but I have NO idea if this is actual and I seriously doubt that is. this is a retired county truck that was used for the water company and was really taken pretty good care of. I have driven this truck roughly 130 miles since I bought it and I can honestly say that it does run very good. Truck does have set up for cb radio but does not have the radio. It also has a spotlight but it needs attention as I cannot get it to work and appears broken. The a/c compressor does run and the lines appear to build ice crystals on them while running but the blower does not work in the truck and that may be either the blower or the switch. Transmission shifts great and the engine purred as it should. This truck does have some minor issues as I will list below and I will have additional photos available upon request. I do have the key for the toolbox on the truck and you can lock each individual box. The truck has 2 keys with it and only 1 for the toolbox. I will list everything below that I know is wrong with the truck and/or needs to be addressed.... Tires: Once you get to about 45 mph the truck seems to have a little vibration... pretty sure its a balance issue as well tires needing replaced. The drivers side rear tires, both of them, are almost bald and will need replaced soon. The passenger side front tire has a couple bubbles in the sidewall, nothing drastic but could be an issue with balance. All other tires are in decent shape and should make it to wherever you need to go. Maintenance Required Light: It is on and I have not had time to get it scanned but I will do that soon and update listing as soon as I find out what it is. Engine: When you start the engine it idles up high and then comes down but the belts squeal when it revs up at first and then if you throttle it hard in idle. In drive it does not do it so the belts likely need tightened and/or replaced. It does have an oil leak and I am not sure from where but it does not leak bad enough to leak on concrete or have to refill. Changed the oil as soon as I got it and that has not gone down at all. A/C System: As stated above, the compressor runs and the lines form crystals on them but it does not blow in the truck. Driver Side Little Window: The latch to lock it is missing. Radio: Works sometimes... Always has power but the volume will sometimes turn up and sometimes it won't. aftermarket radio with am/fm/tape.... Due for upgrade anyways. Driver Side Door Panel: It is loose and needs some screws or something and the grab handle to shut the door once sitting in the truck is messed up but still works. Driver Side Door: Will not shut completely. It still closes and locks but it will nit close all the way. Paint: Flaking off on the hood. driver side door and roof. Front Bumper: Has a dent but could probably be hammered out.... Lights: All headlights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights and parking lights work. The toolbox has marker lights up towards the cab and one of them does not work and the other is broke off. The rear bumper has a side light on either side and one works and on does not. The license plate lights do not work. One of the roof lights is a little weak, all others are good. Passenger Side Front Fender: Has a small dent and some scratches. Seat: It is worn and ripped only where the driver sits. I have tried to photo everything I listed that is wrong but I can only put so many photos on ebay. On Oct-10-11 at 16:02:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I did manage to get the truck scanned today. This truck does have the connector for chrysler OBD I. When the scanner comes on it asks for the vehicle year. 1990 was entered. It asked for eight vin number. 5 was entered. After that it would say " Engine information unavailable". So we tried 1991. Same thing. We tried 1992 and it scanned. Gave trouble code " 31 open/short circuit in a/c clutch relay". So out of curiosity we did the same for 1993 and it worked and read the same code. We did not go any higher than that. I do not know if the engine has been changed or if it may be a computer thing but that is what happened. I do not know enough about the a/c system to attempt to work on it. I also did not have the time to try and tighten the belts to see if it would stop squealing when it starts but I did grab them and they do seem loose and have plenty of adjustment left to tighten them. I will attempt to do tomorrow and I will update again.
