Vehicle Detail

About Me San Jose, CA 95110 Time in San Jose Vehicle Details Year: 1965 Make: Pontiac Model: Tempest Mileage: 100,000 Transmission: Automatic Engine: Your choice Exterior Color: Black Interior Color: Black Title: Clear Description Want to build a GTO race car? How about a vintage Gasser styled Street Machine? Or maybe even a Brutus clone? Don't want to spend a ton of money? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, then take a look at this '65 Tempest hardtop project car. It's been disassembled and in storage since the 80's, awaiting someone to finish it. The floors and rockers are excellent. The windshield channel and dash are rust free. There is some rust in the trunk floor, and on the trunk weatherstrip channel, and some pin holes and pits in the rear window channel. There have been some amateur repairs the lower rear quarter panels behind the rear wheel. I purchased a new pair of replacement panels just in case, and they'll be included. There has never been any serious collision damage. The cowl and windshield pillars are perfect. It has an excellent pair of doors. No rot or split seams at all. The hood and trunk lid are near perfect and while the fenders have some spots of prior repair, they're still very usable. There is no engine or transmission. Keep it all Pontiac, or go with a Big Block Chevy if you like. It's set up for an automatic, but it's easy to convert to a stick. It will need brake work, wiring, and a gas tank among other small things. It rolls and steers just fine. It still has it's ET mags and 50 series tires from the 70's, as well as a set of Lakewood ladder bars. The rear end appears to be a 10 bolt Chevy of unknown origin. It has drum brakes and power steering. Features & Options Vintage ET mags Lakewood ladder bars Superior wood wheel Solid floors and rockers Power steering Manual drum brakes Additional Photos I am able to store this vehicle for up to 30 days while transportation is arranged. Please email any questions you may have.
