#4042474 ’74 R90/6, Blue. 22 Lt. Tank. 28,385 Miles, fresh10K Service. Very Original. This 1974 R90/6 is complete and very clean, correct and original. The engine and frame numbers match. The key fits all three locks; ignition, neck, and seat. It has the optional larger 22 Liter fuel tank. The bike starts easily and runs smoothly. All electrics work properly. The brakes and exhaust are good. The Ching Shin tires are nearly new. It has a tool tray with tool kit and an original owner’s manual. We performed the full BMW Factory recommended 10K Service, and more. We tore down and cleaned and inspected the front fork, we installed new fork seals, new 13 rib fork boots (we think they look better on a /6 than the stock 11 rib boots do), all 4 new wheel bearing seals, new original braided cloth covered Continental fuel line, new choke cables, new rear brake shoes, and rebuilt the front brake master cylinder. We also installed new original chrome trim on the seat. The instruments were cleaned and serviced to ensure extended good operation. The warts: The paint on the top of the tank is very faded, the tank emblems are faded. The handlebars are very pitted, especially on the center right. There is some bad touch-up on the left battery cover, and a chipped inner corner by the handle. The chrome on the wheel spokes is worn and no longer shinny.
