Please read the following description carefully: You are bidding on a 1960 Chevrolet factory 4 wheel drive V8 Suburban Carryall, that was modified when new into a custom pickup for hunting. We were told that this was done by the Champlin family of Champlin Refining Co. of Enid, Ok. This Suburban has been sitting in a barn, near Ames, Oklahoma since 1964. Was last tagged in '65. Until recently. We had known of this truck since 1980 and pulled it from the barn just lately. Has not been started since it was parked. Really a neat unusual truck. 283 V8, HD oil bath air cleaner, 4 speed floor shift, 4x4, lockout hubs, radio, AM radio, heater, and Jr. West Coast Mirrors. Has 31,507 actual miles. Clear title. The rear roof section, including the rear lift hatch was sectioned out and moved forward to fashion a pickup cab, on the Suburban body. The lift hatch does not open. The Suburban tailgate, opens in it's usual fashion. The seat, is still the Suburban folding seat, in remarkable condition for it's age, showing very little wear. The top bed rails are finished out and looks like they did a good job for the time. Doors open and close with a click. Pretty good fit. There is no rust out anywhere, that we could see. Inner fenders, outer fenders, floors, bracing, rockers, quarters, all super clean and original. Nothing has been repainted or touched up in any way. Still has the Suburban rubber floor mat in the rear body and brackets for the seats. Painted bumpers and grille. Steers, rolls, tires hold air, engine turns by hand, gears turn freely. I have not tried to start it. Needs replacement wiring harness under the dash and underhood. Has been nibbled on by the field mice. Has near mint, original steering wheel and cap, gauges, heater, and controls, AM radio. Would make a nice project, as it is, or restore as a Suburban, or use as parts for your Suburban or Panel.
