Up for sale is my 1986 Ford mustang. This has the 2.3 L 4cyl with 5 speed manual transmission. Motor was rebuilt and has about 18,000 miles on it according to previous owner. Recently the cars started smoking a little I took it to my local mechanic he said it has a "blow by" problem The rings need to be replaced. Unfortunately I dont have the funds to fix so my loss is your gain. Clutch was recently replaced along with the tires these each have about 3,000 miles on them. Car has T-tops, power windows, power locks currently arent working they need new switch very cheap to fix havent had time, cruise control, power rear hatch, power fuel door release. Has cloth tan interior which is really clean for the year. has few small holes in back of seat but nothing bad about the size of a pencil tip. This car is solid with no bondo. Rear quarter was professionally fixed. Bottoms of doors are solid with no rust same with wheel wells. Floor pans are also solid with no rust. This car is just solid all the way around. It was painted in 2004 so it does show its age if I was keeping I would repaint as it is starting to flake a little between t-tops and there is a few other small spots. This car still runs awesome If you dont mind the blow by shifts smoothly through every gear. And drives straight down the road. Rear shocks were also recently replaced. I removed headliner fabric as it was starting to sag. SO this could be recovered or left alone it really doesnt look all that bad. Could use some new weatherstripping for T-tops they just started to leak a little bit. Car has 118, 245 original miles. Exhaust was redone 2 years ago. There is a custom painted pony on hood really cool. This will also come with a great sounding JVC CD player. There are two 6x9 in the rear hatch area and also some newer speakers in front doors. The stereo system sounds great and is fun just to cruise through town in this car I get alot of compliments. Tires are mounted on a aluminum rims that look great.This car has clear title The best thing is without the V8 it gets great gas milage. This car can easily be turned into the 5.0 if someone wanted to the 5 speed transmission in this car will work with a 5..0 302. This would be an easy conversion to a GT if someone wanted. This can be driven if you dont mind the little bit of smoke otherwise you can trailer home either way. There is NO RESERVE on this auction highest bid wins car.
