Vehicle Detail

Well I hate to do it but here it is up on the chopping block for ya'll. My 1964 Impala. There has been a lot of work done to this car. It is in no way perfect. The body has been taken off the frame. The frame has a 3 side wrap front to back. It has the crossmember wrapped, and A-arms extended and wrapped. The rear suspension is wrapped. Nothing perfect, but the main arches and sides are done, along with crossmember and spring pockets. It had a wish bone with 14" cylinders in the rear in these pics. I just pulled that out and installed the stock rear suspension. It drives so much better with stock suspension. Slip yoke is installed. The pics show a crazy lock up, with the stock suspension, the lock up uses about 8" of the cylinder. It drives laid out. The car is 2 pumped. Showtime pumps. It has 8 batteries, but is set up to accept 14 Batteries. It has an 8 battey rack permanet, and a 6 battery rack that is removable. It has Accumulators on it 2 to the rear, and one to the front. It makes it ride really good. All custom paisley battery hold downs made from 1/2" steel. The paint job is a pearl white. The top has had a power moonroof installed (40") It has a custom paint job on the top To look like it's wearing a white bandanna. This was a painstaking process that turns a lot of heads! The interior is also all paisley painted and fitted with paisley material. It has a headliner, and interior parts, all wrapped in paisley. Any questions hit me up. The car has a 283. The 283 is a great runner. Fires right up and idles great. It has HEI ignition, and eldelbrock intake and 650 edelbrock carb on it. It has a 3 speed on the column. The 3 speed has overdrive, so it is VERY fun to drive. It's hard to explain, but it's not like any clutched vehicle you would ever drive. It actually coasts instead of being dragged down when you let off the clutch. This make for a very pleasurable experiance. You'll be amazed at the attention the 3 on the tree gives you. The car has it's rust. It's been patched and fixed. The floors will need attention in the future. The patches are working now! Like I said it's no way perfect. It has it's blemishes, but is a real head turner. It does mad three wheels. Everything is in working order, and I drive it around as much I can. It has an alarm installed with power locks installed to work with the alarm. I have a deck in with a small screen that plays DVD's and such. There's been a lot of work done lately for show season. The engine compartment has been redone. All wiring has been hid, and battery relocated to the trunk. The trunk has been painted up, new hydraulic tanks, motors, and solenoids installed last month. Not much wrong with it. Rear tires have slow leaks. One rear cylinder has a slow leak. Moonroof switch is sometime finicky. Paint has it's small chips here and there. It's a driver and gets used. I put over 1000 miles on it just this month of August. Everything that needs to work does. Anything else is small stuff. Like I said....it's not perfect. Titles all clear ready to go. Here's everything I can think of that is wrong with it.... NO SURPRISES The car isn't a perfect car. It has rusty floorboards that have been patched over. The paint isn't perfect. It has it chips and cracking in spots. The rear tires have slow leaks, but I do have two new tires for it. One rear cylinder leaks. The wishbone is a great thing, but it needs to be adjusted to make it roll fully laid out. The interior has some tears, and a split in the seat. The engine runs great, but does leak some oil. Everything works on the car, and it's 100% driveable, I drive it all the time. More things I can think of that are wrong is the rear rims rub on the skirts in a 3 wheel, so the outer edge I keep touching up. The frame has been reinforced, but it had some rust issues before that. I do have a rust free frame I would offer along with the car for free, because it is something that I had planned to do to the car. I wanted to get the floors fixed, and put on a new frame so I could detail the underside of it. It had a wishbone installed. I removed the wishbone and went to stock rear suspension. It rides much better with the stock rear. I also have it on 15" smoothies right now. Made it my cruiser instead of the crazy lock up. I will have the tires fixed and back on the car. I just did this last week, So I could cruise and get the 13" tires fixed on it. It's got it's problems that's why it's a 10k car, and not a 20k car. I don't want to disappoint anyone by it, and am trying to disclose anything I know that could be wrong with it. I don't know, like I said I just need to pay off my bills....toys gotta go 1st.
