1954 was the second year of production for Chevrolet’s Corvette. Only 3,640 were built. Approximately 3,230 were painted Polo White with a red interior and a tan canvas convertible top. All of the 1954 Corvette’s were powered by Chevrolet’s blue flame, six cylinder engine mated to a powerglide automatic transmission. The options available on the 1954 Corvette included: turn signals, heater, AM radio, whitewall tires, parking brake alarm, courtesy lights, windshield washer, and the powerglide transmission. It is believed that all 1954 Corvettes were built with all of the options listed. This 1954 Corvette was with its previous California owner for over 30 years. Due to the previous owner’s age and health issues he decided to sell his collection of cars. We replaced the carpet with original style carpet . We went through the car making sure that it was driveable and detailed the car. It is now ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. It does have a blue flame six engine and powerglide transmission but they are not original to the car. The engine and transmission were replaced in the late 1960's by a GM dealer. Original parts such as carbs with their original tags, intake and exhaust manifolds were reinstalled at the time and are still on the car. The chassis is rust free and does not show any signs of repair. The side curtains and storage bag are present. This Corvette is a nice driver, original in appearance, and priced to sell.
