Vehicle Detail
RELISTING DO TO BUYER NOT PAYING !!Here is a scarce 1923 Studebaker Sport Roadster that will be a easy restoration.. Its a 2 pass car with a luggage trunk on the rear. The car is very stylish and quite low profile to the ground. The body has many rounded and racy body lines. The car also has a GOLF CLUB DOOR on the right side, something that was almost unheard of untill the later 1920s.The top on this car has lots of rake to the rear and is wider that the body giving the car a great look far ahead of its time. The cowl ventilator is on a crank up afair. The car is fresh from a Ohio estate passed down from the original owners family. The car has always had dry storage . The car is quite complete and and free of any rust damage.(holes or heavy scale) The under side of the car still has original paint on the chassis and plenty of oil and grease buildup. The wheels are tight and good condition. The rims all look good and a spare rim is included. The body tin is straight except for some dents in the rear trunk cover and rear fenders. The hood is straight as a string. The engine compartment looks complete and even has the engine splash pans between the frame and crankcase.I put some oil in the cylinders and it turns with compression. Im sure with a little fussing the engine start. The clutch and gear shift all work. The steering wheel and throttle /spark controls are nice!! The top frame and bows are excellant. The tops on these earl open cars are almost ALWAYS MISSING OR SCREWED UP Not on this buggy..The top is complete enough for a exact pattern to be made and even the rear window frame and glass is intact. The rods for the side curtains are there as well the tools and tool roll.Include are the end wrenches, hubcap wrench ,crank, even the tire pump, tire irons and more. All the misc parts on the concrete apron you see in the pictures are included . This car didnt come with bumpers from new but a bumper is included. Not sure of its origin... The big bonus on this car is its a 6 Cyl car. The Studebakers of this era are known for being good road cars . I have had contact with a man in the Studebaker club that has a large collection of parts for the 1923-1925 Studes and can supply almost anything you may need . I have a very fair reserve on this car to protect my investment but car will most likely be sold to the highes bidder.I have a new OHIO TITLE so the paper work is fine. Also included is a well illistrated PARTS BOOK. It can be seen in Livonia NY ,30 miles south of Rochester NY . I have a man here in town that can deliver to you most anywhere... Questions call Mike at 585 738 1541 or email me at mwest729@aol.com Thank you Mike On May-17-11 at 07:17:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a question on when the car was last on the road and/or engine ran... the plate that is on the car and the gas ration sticker plus the old registration sticker indicates 1945 was the last time. As I stated the car turns over good with compression .Also I do NOT have the keys for the switch or transmission. If you need any other pictures please email me and I will send them to your provided email address. Thank you.On Jul-10-11 at 19:21:40 PDT, seller added the following information: The hole in the dash panel is where the previous owner installed a dash clock, probably a rim wind unit . I didnt get it when I got the car. It can be easily repaired(the hole) or buy another clock on Ebay and fill the hole It would look good on the dash . I wanted bidders to know that nothing is missing that was a stock Studebaker issue. Alos I had a question on the wheels . The wood is good and tight and I have the spare rim.
