1992 MAZDA MIATA MX-5 CONVERTIBLE Up for sale is a 1992 MAZDA MIATA MX-5 CONVERTIBLE. This Miata is in very excellent condition and has low miles for a ’92. The current owner has had it only a few years and has put very few miles on it. It runs very well and has been meticulously cleaned and maintained during that period. The car features a 1.6L fuel injected, DOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder engine. With it’s small size you get the benefits of great gas mileage and power. It features custom Konig Theory 15” wheels with Goodyear Cobra P195/50R15 radial tires, an aftermarket Clarion DXZ445 detachable face CD stereo, an Avital Security system and key replaced parts typical of wear at this mileage and time. We are not exactly sure how many owners the vehicle has had but the seller has receipts from the owner prior to him that date back to the end of 2003. These receipts show various parts that have been replaced or repaired. Here are some of the replaced items we found in these receipts: 2007 – Catalytic converter replaced @ 99K mi ($90) 2004 – Replace water pump ($150) 2004 – Konig Theory Rim set of 4 ($340) 2003 – New soft top installed ($750) 2003 – Timing Belt replaced at 94K mi ($400) Overall the paint has an excellent shine and in great condition. There is one small chip (less than 1/4") that we wanted to show by the right rear fender. There were also some very light scuffs on the passenger side near the bottom where the rock/rust guard has been applied. We have tried to show what we felt were noticeable blemishes. It is very possible very minor ones may have been missed or not shown in the photos as they were hardly noticeable. The tires are still in newer condition and look to have on average 6-7/32” tread left. Seeing that it was replaced, the soft top on the car is in great condition. We took pictures with the top up as well so you can see it. The interior is a spot that shows the most wear of all areas. Be sure to pay extra attention to the interior photos we took. Some points to note is wear to the driver floor mat edges, finish wear on the steering wheel, finish wear on the shifter and some scuffs on the interior panel of the driver side door. As you will see below, the engine has been well maintained and is pretty clean. The underside of the car is also shown and is in excellent shape for a Midwest vehicle. Again per the seller it has never seen a winter! This is an excellent soon to be classic car that barring the minor flaws mentioned is in excellent condition! It runs and drives great.
