1983 honda cb1000 custom. high/low 10 speed transmission which means you can use the 5 gears in low or the 5 gears in high. The bike is dry in the pictures so you dont have to worry about anything being hidden, I know what its like buying someting that is wet in the pictures.......it never looks the same when you get there to get it! Anyway...The bike runs rides and looks great! All the bells and whistles work directionals, horn, high/low beam, brake and tail light both tach and speodo work fine. The bike has 23,700 original miles on it and the tires are in execelent condition as is the paint and seat. The chrome is very nice and the pipes are solid as a rock with no holes anywhere. This bike has execelent throttle response and purrs like a kitten and runs extreemely smooth. Shaft drive so no chain to worry about. It also has a brand new battery put in the beginning of this summer. Clear wisconsin title with no blemishes and ready to be put in your name. This bike has always stayed indoors when not in use in a heated garage and never left outside. Its always been clean and waxed. The bike is a 9 out of 10 in condition and I only say that because there are a few small cosmetic blemishes here and there. First the right side foot peg rubber is gone, the post is there and you cannot tell the difference when riding it but you can see it thats all. Second, long in the past the previous owner had dropped it around 10 years ago comming into his driveway and scuffed up the left front directional and the rubber stem cracked so I have it taped together and it has held for years just fine. At the same time the front fender developed a small 1 inch slight creese thats not sharp just a little tweeked........you wouldnt notice it because its so small. Also at the same time this all occoured the headlight bucket ring got a small bend in it but the light is straight and solid.........Im just being completely honest and dont want you to have any suprises when you get the bike. Finally the high low beam switch works perfectly but the black cover that goes over the switch fell off when all this happened. It clicks back and forth perfectly like it should its just the thin piece of black plastic came off it. YOU WOULDNT NOTICE ANY OF THIS UNLESS YOU LOOKED EXTREEMELY CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES, AND THAT IS ALL THE FLAWS IN THE BIKE except for a few paint nicks in the front of the tank from little pebbles and bugs hitting the tank while riding. The brakes work execelent and there is no leaks or smoke from the motor at all. I EXPECT FULL PAYMENT NO LONGER THAN 5 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER.
