Well unfortunately I am losing my garage space when our business moves this spring, so I need to sell our 1968 Cadillac Deville Convertible. It has just over 82,000 on the odometer and, while it is only a 5 digit odometer, I believe this to be the correct mileage given the overall great condition of the car. The 1968 Deville is becoming increasingly collectable for a number of reasons: this was the last year Cadillac put real wood in the interior, this was the last year of the slanted front end with the "stacked" front headlights (which makes a HUGE deal aesthetically- just look at the ugly front end of a 1969), it has the HUGE and powerful 472 cubic inch V8. . . just do a Goggle and eBay search to see how much more valuable (and better looking) a 1968 is compared to a 1969/1970. It has the black interior, with a black top and black convertible boot, auto trans, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, power seats, power convertible top. . . basically every option you could get in a luxury car back in 1968 and everything works! All chrome is there and is in good to excellent condition. Brand spanking new BFG Classic 2 7/8 inch white walls with under 100 miles ($1000.00+ installed), recent tune-up with new fluids, filters, etc. Full alignment and suspension job (less than 200 miles ago)- new lower ball joint, center link, idler arm, control bushings, thrust alignment, repacked bearings, lower control arm. . . the list goes on to the tune of $1300.00+. Newer battery, radiator, water pump, hoses- this Deville is completely road-trip worthy right now, no mechanical issues what so ever!!! And this is no rust bucket- a few surface rust spots here and there, but I invite anyone to come check it out, crawl under it, pull the carpet back and see for yourself! Oh, and not even one small dent on all 18.5 feet of it!!! Now for the bad- the number one thing this car needs to bring it closer to "showroom" condition is a paint job. Other little things include missing interior door handle bezels, the original am/fm radio is there but not working, the passenger seat needs to be sewn back at one seam, drivers seat has some wear at the top, there is a seam torn in the lower back of the convertible top near the plastic window that could be re-sewn, slight surface rust by the fron hood emblem, needs floor mats... I suppose there are a few other little cosmetic things needed to be done to make it perfect, but I invite anyone to come check it out in person as this would be a PRIME specimen for a quick restore back to showroom condition! It's all minor cosmetics! I can assist with shipping if needed. $500 deposit via Paypal, cash in person upon pick-up. If the car is shipped, full payment is required before it leaves my garage. I love this car- it is my wife's dream car, but we are moving our business and I am losing garage space, and I won't let this sit outside for one night! It is a 1968- that is 7 years away from that key 50-year mark where classic car prices seem to skyrocket. And it's a convertible. This car will hold its value, even in a bad economy.
