mostlyposters Store 1984 MB 2 door turbo diesel. 235,000 miles is just the mid-life for these sturdy dependable cars. Body is in generally excellent shape with just a few tiny spots of rust starting, everything straight, minor dent next to right rear tail light, small piece of trim missing there too, lense and light not affected. Paint is real nice except a recent development over the winter with the clearcoat on trunk. I can have it repaired or you could too, see pictures. Car starts right up and drives great. Michelin tires all around with 90%+ tread left, almost new. Serviced by MB experts European Auto Solutions, Waltham, Mass. Replaced brakes and rotors all around last year. New battery, cleaned pulleys and replaced all belts too. Recently cleaned and flushed entire fuel system to the tank. The trunk gets a bit wet in a heavy rain. Think it's just the rubber seal but haven't had it looked at yet. I've gone 90mph and there was more to go but didn't dare. It's rock solid and quiet on the highway. Electric windows and sunroof work. All lights and lenses good except front yellow fog light lense has a crack but operates. Great (loud!) new Alpine radio with working Sirius, ipod cable and cd. Subwoofer and crossover electronics in trunk. Custom speaker enclosures on doors. Interior very good except netting on back of seats. No tears or cracks. Front seats look like they were replaced at some point. Dash vinyl very good, one crack about 1/2 inch. All switches good and operating. Interior has been relined with MB tx vinyl including the doors, and rear compartment walls. Headliner looks to be original and is in decent condition but worn around the sunroof, and aged. One wood panel in console around switches has a crack. Have original manuals and window sticker too. Originally sold for $35,200!! Would not take much to bring this car to show standards. Quite a few of these cars have gone for $7-20,000 in the last few weeks. This one only needs a little tlc to bring it up to that level. Glad to make the car available for test drive and inspection prior to bidding. I'm about 20 miles west of Boston.Think that's it, please ask any questions you have.
