About Me 1967 El Camino 4-speed San Jose, CA 95110 Time in San Jose Vehicle Details Year: 1967 Make: Chevy Model: El Camino Mileage: 126,493 Transmission: 4-speed Engine: 283 Exterior Color: Cream Interior Color: Black Title: Clear Description My '67 El Camino was built the last week of October, 1966 at the Fremont California assembly plant and was delivered with a 283, stick shift transmission, manual steering and brakes. It's been repainted a few times during it's life, but it's never had any serious collision damage. The doors still close easily and the fit is excellent. It has a smooth, shiny, driver quality paint job and really looks good. It still has it's original black and yellow California commercial plates. The bed has some light use over the years and there are some dings and imperfections in the bed moldings. The interior has been outfitted with new reproduction carpets, headliner, door panels, seat cover and dash pad. All the dash gauges and accessories work well. The heater and air vents are all operational and all the dash lights and indicator lights work. The original radio and clock are present, but not currently in working order. The engine is a basic and reliable 283 with a 2-barrel carburetor. It starts easy, runs smooth and provides adequate power. The transmission is quiet, and shifts great. It steers and stops well, although it is still equipped with the factory manual drum brakes. There are many vendors here on Ebay who offer power disc brake conversions. It has a set of factory 14" Chevy rally wheels with the correct style "Chevrolet Motor Division" center caps. The spare tire, original bumper jack and hardware are in place.
