Vehicle Detail

This is a true 1965 Impala Super Sport convertible. The car had a frame off restoration back in 2008 and is still in great shape. The car is a driver, and will win most local car shows, but I bought it in order to enjoy it and I have done so. It is not a trailer queen. It features a 327 V-8 chevy small block along with an automatic transmission. The car also has a power top and everything works on it except for the clock in the console. That would need to be repaired or rebuilt and I never got around to having it done. Feel free to arrange to come and look this car over in person. In fact, I would encourage you to do so. Summer is right around the corner and dropping the top and cruising is what I have done ever since I bought it. I own a number of different old muscle cars and it is time for me to start thinning out my collection. That is the only reason I am seling this one. I just don't have enough room to keep them all; or enough time to drive them. I was told when I bought this car that the engine and transmission were original. The intake manifold and carb are not original but the heads and block appear to be. From what I can determine from the date codes they are at least period correct. the codes I found on the right side of the engime block in front are 00 10 10. I do have the original SS wheel covers along with the original valve covers in the trunk. This car needs nothing as the starter, brakes, fuel pump, etc were all replaced when the restoration was done. The transmission was also rebuilt as was the engine during the restoration. The interior is also original and looks great. The carpeting has faded slightly, but nothing major here. I sold my business and retired andI enjoy old cars that I could never afford when they were new. I am not a professional collector or dealer, just a regular guy who loves old iron. If you are looking for a great car at a reasonable price then this might be the one for you. If you are seeking a pristine, museum quality car, then you should pass on this one. I have done my best to desribe this car to you. If you have any questions, or would like to see additional pictures, let me know. I may be reached on my cell phone at 901-219-3000. I require a $1000 deposit via paypal with 24 hours of the end of the auction.
