READ THIS CAREFULLY - NOT ALL THINGS MENTIONED OR SHOWN ARE INCLUDED AT CHEAP PRICE. AS OF TODAY (2/28/11), THE 406 ENGINE IS SOLD. WE ARE AWAITING PAYMENT. IF IT FALLS THROUGH, I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH THOSE WHO HAVE, OR WILL IN THE FUTURE, EMAIL US REGARDING THE 406 ENGINE. WE WILL SET UP BUY-IT-NOW TO INCLUDE PARTS YOU NEED, IF YOU WANT MORE THAN JUST ROLLING BODY AND TRIM. IF THE CAR FAILS TO SELL WE MAY SELL THE REMAINING HI-PO OR XL PARTS SEPARATELY. We have a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible (X-code) for sale. No title. If you live in KY, no worries - there's a now a bill-of-sale law, thanks to our current governor. You can get a clear title with proper documents - which I will provide to new owner. I don't know about other states - check your OWN LOCAL DMV/courthouse or check with broadwaytitle.com. The man I got this Galaxie from had originally thought it was a 390, 4-speed car. It turned out that the machine shop called during the engine rebuild to tell him the engine was a 406, not a 390. Engine was rebuilt at B & R speed shop near Taylorsville, KY. It currently is incomplete. Heads are not 406 heads. No shorty headers with it either - never got any. The block must be early design, as it is not the cross-bolted type. It will need to be cleaned & inspected before use. (It was stored with no intake for two years after rebuild, covered in plastic, so who knows if any work will need to be done or not. The previous owner had a heart attack and a cancer battle during the failed project, so that's why it's surface-rusty). Four speed is a Borg Warner T-10. I have the pedals and Z-bar for FE for it too. Convertble top frame is solid and better than most I have seen lately. The glass, including the windshield, is all there and in good shape. Don't let surface rust fool you. Car has a solid southern body. Body is also pretty straight. It does need some work, but it's really in good condition overall. The quarters will need some patching, but they are not rotted away at the bottom lips like most are nowadays. They are quite fixable. The floorpans were replaced throughout the whole car, including trunk. Some are finish-welded in, while others are just screwed in and will require that the flanges be welded. I will do all of the welding work and body work, if desired, but I don't work for free. This is an excellent hobby car for someone who can do their own work. I got this old Gal recently, but find I have little time and not enough workspace to complete it properly. I'm sure I'll regret getting rid of it. I have almost all trim including grille, front bumper, etc. (Trim-wise, I only know of two interior pieces and two exterior trim pieces that I lack for it.) NOTE: AT THIS PRICE YOU GET THE CAR BODY W/ BILL-OF-SALE AND THE TRIM PARTS FOR THE CAR - ONLY. >>> NO 406 ENGINE, 4 SPEED OR "XL" PARTS WILL BE INCLUDED AT THIS PRICE. THEY ARE MENTIONED IN CASE YOU WANT TO BUY THEM ALONG WITH THE CAR BODY AND EXTERIOR TRIM. I WILL BE GLAD TO SET UP AN EBAY BUY-IT-NOW FOR PROJECT CAR ALONG WITH ANY ADDITIONAL PARTS I HAVE FOR IT, FOR THE BUYER.<<< XL INTERIOR PARTS AND EXTERIOR BADGING - ADD $650. XL 4-SPD SHIFTER PLATE AND SHIFTER - ADD $550. T-10 4-SPEED AND DRIVESHAFT (FROM FLYWHEEL BACK) - ADD $1,000. 406 FoMoCo 3 x 2 INTAKE, POLISHED FoMoCo 3 x 2 AIRCLEANER, CHROMED EXPANSION TANK AND "406" FENDER BADGES - ADD $1,000. I have a console top and trim for it (no console frame- ragtop console frame is different than hardtop console frame), along with original '63 buckets. I also have the XL column and XL badging to clone an XL ragtop. I do not have an XL convertible seat or rear seat trim for ragtop. I am also lacking the visors. I will buy these if I can find them, just in case the car doesn't sell and I end up finishing it. I also will need an XL console frame for convertible. Let me know if you have any of these parts for sale. Thanks. GALAXIE AND PARTS ARE FOR SALE LOCALLY AND ELSEWHERE ONLINE, SO IF YOU SEE THE AUCTION IS GONE - YOU MISSED OUT. BELOW YOU WILL FIND THE PRICING OF CAR & PARTS AS LISTED ELSEWHERE ON THE INTERNET: Will try to work payments out with someone if need be. I am not interested in ANY lesser offers, so please do not waste your time and mine. We are in Hazel, KY 42049. For those who need shipping, we have a source for reasonable shipping EAST of the Mississippi river. Better buy and ship it now than after the gas jumps another buck+ per gallon... Thanks for looking. Call Dean @ 270-492-8035 for more pics or details or email us at my63squire@hotmail.com - INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL if you want pictures.
