petrapuma Store Up for auction is a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport. This car is a repairable handyman's special. It is in working order and drives but in need of repairs/maintenance in order to pass state inspection. Please read description below for details and feel free to email us with any questions you may have. The actual mileage reads 151,447 miles. It has with a blue exterior and gray/cloth interior. We purchased the car in Florida but needed a car with 4 wheel drive for the winter snow so now it is an extra car we don't need. I purchased this at approximately 118,000 miles. The car has the Check Engine Light on. I don't have an OBD reader so I don't know what codes are being produced. The car starts and runs but the battery is old and needs to be replaced.The car is from Florda and the battery did not take well to the change in climate so the battery does not start reliably if at all since the start of winter. Some or all of the ball joints will also need to be replaced. The cruise control buttons on steering wheel have been damaged due to the harsh Florida humidity but the controls work. Additionally, the rear windshield wiper motor is not working. The interior is in decent shape as I am a non-smoker and do not have kids or transport pets. There are a few small holes in the upholstery of the driver seat and a small rip on the ceiling fabric. (See photos) The rug needs to be cleaned as there as some stains on it from the previous owner. I believe they are cola or coffee stains of some sort. The exterior has some scratches and minor rust along the outdoor floor railing. The center armrest has some cracks in it due to the harsh Florida sun but can be easily replaced. The car has a working stereo that includes AM/FM, cassette tape, as well as a CD player. The A/C works and is cool, the heater also runs well. The overhead light dome works but needs new bulbs. The power windows are in working condition. All the windows except the windshield are factory tinted. The car is located in Montgomery County Maryland. It has a clear Maryland title BUT has NOT been Maryland inspected. Vehicle must be picked up within a week of purchase. Vehicle pickup and transport is the solely the buyers responsibility. Purchaser will have to come and collect the vehicle or arrange shipping. PLEASE DO NOT ASK US TO SHIP AS WE CANNOT. Car has cold air conditioning. Power windows.Power Locks. Power Mirrors. Fog lamps. trailer hitch Standard: Air Conditioning, Dual Air Bags, ABS Brakes, Power Steering, AM/FM Stereo with cd player,Keyless entry. Vehicle is to be sold AS-IS with no Warranty. Payment must be in Cash. We will not accept checks or money orders of any kind. At the end of the auction I would appreciate a $250 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours via Paypal. Buyer must contact/respond to seller via email after auction with contact information and possible arrangement options for pick-up. Paypal is for deposit use only remainder of balance due at pickup. Full payment & pickup must be made no later than 5 days after auction. All financial transactions must be completed before the vehicle will be released to new owner. On Feb-21-11 at 12:43:04 PST, seller added the following information: ***UPDATE*** We took the battery in for testing to the local autoparts place and they said that it is dead and unable to charge anymore. Purchaser will have to buy new battery or have truck towed to new location. Also I wanted to let everyone know because a few people have send emails asking. The plates on the truck now are my temporary ones for Maryland and I will have to take the back to the motor vehicles dept. So the truck will not have any tags on it when it is picked up.
