1993 Ford Festiva- Clean, Great Runner! FORGET THE PRIUS- This Festiva gets an honest 40 miles per gallon and the $20,000 you will save on the purchase price will buy a lot of gasoline! I have had many Festiva's over the last ten years and I keep buying them because they are reliable, fun to drive and great on gas. This is one of the cleanest ones I've ever owned and I'm only selling it to finance a custom Festiva that I'm working on. It has 143,000 easy miles on it and it runs great! The engine still looks like new and it won't burn any oil between oil changes. It doesn't have A/C but the white color keeps it cooler in the summer than a darker colored car and the cloth seats won't burn your legs on a 90 degree plus day. Other options include factory ford aluminum wheels, hinged luggage compartment cover and a nice Kenwood stereo with 4 speakers. The engine is the standard 1300 cc Mazda 4 cylinder with fuel injection and the manual transmission has 5 speeds, the 5th being an overdrive. I've been a mechanic for 30 plus years now and I maintain my own vehicles. This one has recently had a new timing belt, new water pump, new fuel pump and front brakes. The tires have about 3/4 thread left. The car starts right up in any weather, doesn't smoke oil and is ready to go as a daily commuter or on a trip across the country. There are no required emissions testing where I live but I see no reason why this car wouldn't pass any emissions test. The Festiva is one of the best cars I've ever owned and I think most owner's will agree with me. There was one on ebay about a month ago that had about a half a million miles on it and he was only selling it because the body was rusted out. Most Festivas will go over 250,000 miles if taken care of. My car doesn't have any rust- ever! It is a West Coast car and is clean and dry. It has NEVER been wrecked or damaged.
