2001 Volvo S60 T5 Here we have a 2001 Volvo S60 T5. 2nd owner. No accidents. 210k on the odometer, all gentle highway miles. Motor runs strong. Meticulously maintained by a local Volvo specialist (Specialized Auto). Lots of service receipts included. This car is an excellent car, inside and out, but has some transmission trouble that needs to be fixed. I took some pictures and would be happy to take more on your request. Please see the pictures and judge the condition for yourself. I'd be happy to provide more upon request. Here is my assessment: Exterior: 8/10. Signs of normal wear for a 2001, but overall excellent. No big dents or scratches. No rust or cracking. Paint is shiny. Wheels/Tires: Tires are almost new. 8/10. The wheel finish is fair, as the paint is fading/peeling upon close inspection. Interior: 8/10. Signs of normal wear for a 2001, but leather is soft and no major cracking. Looks very nice and is comfortable. Never smoked in. Mechanical: The motor runs strong and has zero issues. Everything has been well maintained throughout. The transmission is set in 3rd gear (limp mode?) and the check engine light is on due to that issue. There isn't any metal in the oil, so it could be a software issue, but the transmission may need to be rebuilt or replaced. Seems to be a weak-point on these cars, as I did replace the original transmission about 80k miles ago, with a rebuilt one (this one). I would replace it again, but I just don't have the time, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone who can fix cars or knows someone that can do it.
