This bike is ready to ride! This Triumph’s new Bonnevilles are a tribute to their famous T120 and T140 Bonnevilles from the ‘50s, ‘60s’, and ‘70s. These early Bonnevilles were 650cc and 750cc parallel twin British bikes. Some of these models are highly prized by collectors today. These new Bonnevilles have been very well received by the motorcycling press. Some have said it is one of the best standard motorcycles available today. A Bonneville recently won a comparison test against a Honda and Harley Davidson of similar engine size. The new Bonneville has a beautiful classic design and it is a motorcycle that does everything well. This 2000 Triumph Bonneville has somewhat over 10,000 original miles on the clock. It is a very clean bike that has been well maintained. It is in great mechanical condition. It has newer Bridgestone Battle Axe BT45s, a newer battery, new plugs, fresh synthetic engine oil, and a new oil filter. The bike is ready for many, many more miles of enjoyment while delivering over 45 MPG. Features include: · Beautiful custom paint · Original maroon and silver bodywork · Mufflers cored (nice mellow tone, sounds like a motorcycle) · Carbs re-jetted · Air injection replaced · Spitfire windscreen · Luggage rack · Leather saddlebags go with · LED light kit (looks like Christmas lights!) · Newer Bridgestone Battle Axe BT45 tires · New Iridium Plugs · Fresh synthetic engine oil and filter · Two owner bike This bike is a five speed. It is electric start only. It has disc brakes at both ends. The 790cc, counter-balanced motor is incredibly smooth, very torquey, and plenty powerful. This Bonneville is a lot of fun to ride. I have ridden this bike many miles over the years past few years. It has more than enough power and speed for any riding situation short of a race track. It is well balanced, nimble, stops quickly, and handles very well. This Bonneville would be a good starter bike for the right person. It would be a motorcycle that would not be quickly, if ever, outgrown for most riders. The bike is located in Birmingham, Alabama. It can be picked up at Barber’s Vintage Motorcycle Days if that works for the winner. Serious inquiries only. Call Mike, 205-218-7424. THE GOOD! This bike has low miles (less than 1,000 miles a year!). It looks and rides like new. This bike has a very comfortable riding position and compliant suspension. This Bonneville is finished in a beautiful custom paint scheme; with skylark blue as the primary color on tank and fenders. It has pearlescent white stripes and coving on the tank and fenders with gold pinstripes bordering them. As an added bonus, all the stock maroon and silver bodywork comes with the motorcycle. It is like getting two motorcycles for the price of one!! The exhaust note is very pleasant, yet sporty on this Bonneville. I cored the stock mufflers and re-jetted the carbs to suit the decreased back pressure. The air-injection system has been replaced. This is an easy bike to ride with a reasonably low seat height, plenty of torque off the bottom, a light clutch, an easy shifting transmission, great handling, and strong brakes. In most riding situations, you can put this bike in fifth and just forget it. It comes with these practical accessories: an easily adjustable and removable Spitfire windscreen, a sturdy luggage rack, and a couple of leather saddlebags. It also has an LED light show installed. The lights flash red, blue, and green or red, white, and green. I really can’t remember, but they are very festive! The bike looks and runs better than new and is mostly stock. Everything works. The present owner is thinning his collection and this bike is going! The bike has a current Alabama Title, Tag, and Registration. It will come with a notarized Bill of Sale from the owner as well. THE BAD! There are no known issues with this bike. Call Mike between 9 AM and 9 PM CST, any day of the week, with questions or for more detailed pictures and info: 205-218-7424. You can also contact me via eBay’s e-mail system. I will need your regular e-mail address to send Hi Res Photos.
