1974 HONDA MT 125 ELSINORE Street Legal DIRT BIKE MT125 This vintage Honda dirt bike is in very good cosmetic condition, but does need some work. I do not believe there are any missing parts. I bought is at a church yard sale and it did not have the title, so I do not have the title for the new owner. I have not been able to get it running. The carb has been cleaned out and the battery replaced. It did start for about 10 seconds when we tried to start it by rolling down hill and jumping it. It sputtered a little and then conked out. The original key is also included. I had a mechanic look at it and his prognosis is detailed below along with some pics. It appears as though a complete overhaul of the engine is needed. This is the intake side of the piston (see pics). It has some major scoring going on. It's a strange wear pattern, but cooked non the less. The first pic was some cylinder scoring and the bottom end filled with fuel. This one is the exhaust side piston skirt. Pretty tore up, it has gouges the length of the piston, looks like a lack of lube or an overheat. Too deep to be a simple cold seize. Local Pick-Up only or the buyer arranges shipping.
