Vehicle Detail

THIS IS THE LAST TIME - CAR WILL NOT BE RELISTED. Either it sells or it's getting about that time to start on it again. Wife does not want me to sell (she saw the metro car in the Nancy Drew movie and fell in love with the metro). Great Condition Nash Convertible that could easily become the best nash metro out there.... I found by a private owner in California. I was planning to restore but lost interest (re-gaining interest now due to pressure from the wife to finish it...). Car has been DA's and most all parts already sandblasted including engine compartment and most the undercarriage. Car was in the high desert in California and the body had no rust (if you are curious about the rear quarter it was dented and I felt it better to cut it off and weld another on there. The doner car was red and white). It was sitting outside and when the top went away some water sat in the carpet and it had some rust in the rear floor pans, which was cut out and replaced with new floor pans (needs to be final welded). The front floor pans have minimal rust and can be repaired. Over the last year or so I have purchased about everything to finish the car including: New Interior New wide whitewall tires New Convertible top Extra engine and transmission (although I believe the engine and transmission that were in the car are good as engine turns over with good compression) Rebuilt radio and over 150 new and gently used good for restoration parts...all new brakes, master cylinder, brake cylinders, seals, u-joints, hoses, switches, relays (pretty much all electrical components), blinker assembly (used), engine mounts, transmission mounts, extra rear end differential (used), hub caps, tie rod ends, speedometer (used), heater fan and motor (used), heater core, rear shocks, totally restored jack, steering wheel (used), heater switch assembly (used), lenses, new headlamp trim chrome, tail light bezals, extra convertible top parts, front turn signal indicators, Metropolitan emblems, exterior trim (very nice), gas cap, oil pump, engine paint, vacuum advance and tube, bearings, water pump, rebuilt fuel pump, generator, points, plugs, starter, tune up parts, bumper guards (2), rubber components and a bunch, bunch more. Contact me for a complete listing. Still needs to finish.... Gas tank had a few holes in bottom needs to be rebuilt or a new one ordered (found a place that has them..) We were going to change the exterior to red and white (from original yellow and white), so the new interior is red and white. New top is black. Check the wiring and repair as necessary Bumpers need re-chromed but are in nice condition. Have a couple new bumper guards. Door handles chromed or purchased new. Finish bodywork. Most of the hard work is done. Again, contact me for a complete list of parts. If you are mechanical you can finish this car on the cheap. Dan
