The car is being relisted due to some specifics not working out for the previous winner...... Here we have an awesome 1951 Pontiac Chieftain! This car is from an era when the people making cars poured their heart and soul into them and you can tell this from all of the attention to stylish details. The Cheiftain on the hood ornament, the Chieftain on the steering wheel, the awesome dash setup, I could go on and on. That being said here are the details on the car; The straight 8 engine, transmission, and drivetrain were all recently rebuilt and they have less than 2k miles since the rebuild. The electrical system is also in good shape. The body of the car is also in good condition, I'd say the paint job is a 12 footer, the stainless steel throughout the whole car is pretty much perfect, it might just need to be shined up. The car has a brand new headliner. The glass and lenses are in good shape with the exception of the passenger side wing window. The tires are in great shape. The interior is in good shape, the rear seat will need some attention. The wood in the interior is in great shape. The car does have rust on these areas, the tiller post, rocker panel, and rear floor panel. The body has been gone over with a magnet and it is extra clean. Any surfer looking for a woody would love this one. A great one to drive and slowly fixup or just do a frame up and have a magnificent car.
