You are bidding on a 1972 Triumph Spitfire MK IV. VIN FK 38202 U It has 71,300 miles The engine was rebuilt approximately 1,500 miles ago and runs perfectely without any smoke or leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly without any noise or grinding. It is fitted with headers and a Weber DGV carburator. It has new tires, front shocks, battery, clutch, clutch master cylinder, starter solenoid and water pump. According to the reciepts, there are also many other new parts. It is fitted with a roll bar and a four outlet exhaust system. It has factory wire wheels and a factory metal hard top, complete with pop-out glass vent windows and glass back window. Service manual and lots of literature and catalogs. Original owners manual, delivery document and identification service plate. The upholstery is new. Carpeting is not new but in very good condition. Soft top is new. It still needs to be attatched to the top bow. It was painted a few years ago but it could use some rub-out and touch-up. I would rate the paint as "fair to good". As shown in the picture, the paint in the engine compartment near the master cylinders was damaged by a leaking clutch master cylinder (replaced) As far as I know, the only thing that does not work are the turn signals - it may be a fuse or loose wire. There is an occasional vibration coming from the rear of the car. Probaly a bearing or universal joint. I jacked the car up and looked under it - I could not find any sign of rust damage or repair. The car is in Manning, SC and you may come and inspect it before buying. This car is sold as is/where is. Please bid carefully as it cannot be returned.
