My wife said one of my projects have to go! Here is a nice 1997 Chevy Z71 extended-cab short box. It has the 3rd door on the right side. I bought the truck for a toy, but do not have time for it as I have another project. I bought the truck last fall from a guy who, like myself, invested a lot of money into it. It has an automatic transmission with approx 30,000 miles on rebuild. Transmission fluid smells good and is clean. Engine had been built 30-40k ago? It was a stock vortec 5.7 liter 350 and was built into a 383 Stroker. I don't know what is all in the lower end, but believe it is a complete forged rotating assembly. It has a roller cam with new Pro-Comp hydraulic roller lifters, hardened pushrods, 5/16" guideplates, 7/16" screw-in studs, stainless steel full roller 1.6 ratio rocker arms, Chevrolet aluminum valve covers, over-sized valves and valve springs, high volume / high psi oil pump, updated multi-port fuel injectors, Borla shorty headers with dual exhaust through a fully welded Cherry Bomb muffler and stainless tips. 32" tires mounted on 15" polished aluminum wheels, Custom front bumper and lower air dam, painted bug shield and vent visors. Fiberglass topper with locks and GM bedliner insert. It has newer brakes, u-joints. AC Delco Rapid fire spark plugs, Moroso ignition wire set, Premium Standard Distributor cap and ignition rotor along with many other new parts and gaskets. FREEBEE!!!: Also included is a Procharger Supercharger with intercooler, tubing and hardware. It was installed on the truck as pictured, but I removed it intending to use it on another vehicle. Also included will be a K&N Airfilter intake system, Hypertech power programmer, JET Performance module, Boost and fuel pressure gauges. The body of the truck is solid however you can see the bottom half of the truck had been repainted, but still looks nice. The interior is fair with some wear on the driver's seat and the upholstry could use a good cleaning. The rear speakers have been removed and the interior panels around them have been cut to accomodate aftermarket speakers which are no longer there. It drives down the road nice and straight, no clunks or rattles. I'm selling this as a truck that does need TLC and will need some work. It is not a vehicle to drive cross country in at this time. The bads are the headers leak and it does need exhaust work near the headers to repair a temporary fix. The engine has a slight knock and I'm not sure from what. The engine has plenty of oil pressure, so it may be a clearance issue with the 383 crank or may be as simple as a valve adjustment. Air conditioning has been removed, but I do have some of the parts to reinstall and it can be installed with the supercharger in place. There are a lot of extra goodies bolted to this truck and would be a nice project. I'm sure the truck is worth a whole lot more in parts than it is together, but I would feel guilty stripping it, so you can if you must. Starting bid is $4500.00 and NO RESERVE. This would be a steel considering the Procharger set-up alone sells new for over $5000.00 itself. Here is a great chance to get a lot of goodies for not a lot of money. There is no warranty. Sold as is so ask questions before bidding. Security deposit of $500.00 is due at auctions end. Buyer is responsible for pickup of vehicle within 10 business days of auctions end.
