Vehicle Detail
1972 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty-Special Brougham Survivor The car is a 1972 model and a definate survivor of it's time. The car appears to be 100% original, however i can't guarantee that for sure and I don't wish to misrepresent. The odometer reads 87,405 miles and we assume that is accurate considering the condition, again I can't guarantee it, but it sure seems to be the case. The 472cid 7.7 liter engine starts like a charm, and the car rides and drives like a champ. The engine and drivetrain all appear original as well, although we haven't checked the numbers to make sure, so we can't guarantee that. The hubcaps are matching and again assumed original. All of the switches and features inside work, including the radio, heater, windshield wipers, power windows etc. The door locks however only lock, they will push the locking mechanism down but not up, I'm not sure why this is. The A/C and heater power on but the blower doesn't blow, also the unit has never been converted to 134a. Otherwise all of the interior options including the radio work great. This would be the perfect project for someone looking to do a full on restoration, a very solid car that could be made mint with little effort. The car looks wonderful for a caddy pushing 40 years old, the paint still shines and the interior is still plush and comfy, there are a few rips and tears and missing bulbs, but all very minor stuff. The engine is quiet as can be and starts with just a touch of the key, it could use a good tune up since it's been sitting a little while, but other than that it's good to go. All of the glass is there with no major cracks or chips. There are lots of these that have had minor restoration work out there to be found, but not too many in this condition. Even the factory floor mats and owners manual are included. This Fleetwood is the Brougham trim level and includes many bell and whistles not found on the lesser end Cadillac models. Pretty much everything is power, door locks, windows. It even has reading lights and seats rests for the rear passengers. Truly a luxury car, especially for 1972. The car even features a factory car alarm, a relatively uncommon option even on Cadillacs of the day. The title is 100% clear and ready to be transferred. Now for the bad stuff. There is some rust, as to be expected. Mainly around the bottoms of the quarter panels, nothing terrbile but it's there. The floor pans feel and appear solid, and there are no major window leaks to make me believe otherwise. The frame rails are very solid, and the trunk pan feels and appears very solid as well. The top is vinyl and just under the edge around the rear of the top there is some bulging that indicates rust, it's hard to tell how badly without peeling it off. All in all a VERY solid car for never having any restoration work. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP AND/OR SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. WE ARE OFFERING LOCAL PICKUP ONLY! Please email with any questions.
