PLEASE READ BEFORE ANY BIDS This auction is for a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette with 67,576 miles it has a V-8 motor I think a 327 with a 4 speed manual trans the car has t-top as well. I received this car as a gift from my step dad who has owned this car since the 70's so that out of the way this car only had 2 owners. I also wanted to inform everyone that this car has a newer style hood 70 to 73 and side grills i guess a lot of people did swaps with flairs and stuff back in the days who knows why maybe to get that newer look but this is the way my dad received this car. I would say this car would need a full restore there is rust and rot on the frame this car sits inside but was just sitting too long I see frames sell for cheap on Ebay even delivered for cheaper then to fix this one but maybe if someone is good at welding it could be fixed. There is one now for $175.00 The shop i took it to said the body itself is still good the main supports by the doors are not rotted out so i guess if you build Corvettes you should know what they are talking about. The body itself is not that bad the car was involved in a accident around 1987 a light hit in the front passenger side which caused a crack at the fender and extra so please look at the pictures, after that my dad barely drove it just around the neighborhood or just around to keep the thing moving. I have got the car running but the gas tank leaked so I pulled it out and I ran the engine with a 5 gallon gas can going to the fuel pump and it still runs good and I drove it around the block and it shifted good threw all the gears but there was no brakes I didn't check why I didn't feel like messing around with it any more all parts are there I'm guessing old rusted lines. This was going to be my father and son project but I have a race car that takes enough time and i don't want to deal with this one as well. I'm sure someone could fix this car fast and make some easy money with it reselling it because i see them sell for $ $ $ I found a great deal on a house I really want so this car along with other project must go I know this is worth more then my starting price but this is a no reserve auction and I have a clean and clear title for this car.
