Only 705 1LEs were produced in 92. Out of that figure only 116 1LEs were Z28 models.Out of the 116 I have only seen aprox 12 red 1LEs with the black heritage stripes. I ordered this camaro spring of 1992 from SHEA in torrington CT.It was always my dream to order a new rare camaro that I would keep forever but thoughts change.I only put a 1000 miles on it the first year I owned it.I relocated to the midwest in 1993. After five years I decided I needed a 1997 Camaro SS LT-4. So I sold the 1LE with barely 32,000 miles. Told the new owner if he ever sells it call me first.Well a couple of years later he called, I missed the call and was sold to a coworker of his.Well the coworker HAD me detail it back 1997.It only had around 39,000 miles.I never forgot about the 1LE but had lost track of it for ten years.One day my supplier had told me of a rare camaro for sale locally.I did not believe him when he said it was a 1LE.Well a long story short I bought my first new camaro back. Collectible highlights: Last year for the third generation camaro,rare 1LE option,ZO3 heritage option, full documentation & tighest/quietest of all third gens. This rare vehicle runs very strong! has the 350 tpi auto combination.Very impressive for a 1992. The only OTHER options I ordered:gray custom cloth bucket seats,cd player & heritage appearance package.Could outrun a 1993 mustang cobra back in the day! The only items it needs are: rear brakes hood & rear hatch struts cd player fixed (radio works) headliner needs replaced front spoiler has new scratch! My fault The paint is very presentable for 17 years old.It has some rock chips (Mainly on front spoiler),imperfections & touch ups.so a couple of small dings on hood, easy fix for PDR.There is NO RUST.
