Jaguar 1988 XJS V12 with all the options. Needs restoration. This car had an engine fire which melted all the rubber and plastic in the engine compartment. The plan for this car was to restore the car. It had all the options and was/is a fine speciman of this car. I bought two other cars to use as parts cars, which are also up on eBay, as the plan was to bring this car back to its previous glory. Due to both time and monetary constraints I cannot realize my dream of restoring this car. So now it is your turn. The engine turns over easily and there is no reason to believe the engine nor the rest of the drive train was damaged. The damage to the car is confined to the engine compartment and the windshield due to the heat. It is my firm belief that with new hoses and wiring in the engine compartment the drive train will be complete and the engine will run. Because the wiring and rubber melted in the engine department, the battery is not in the car. Therefor I cannot confirm the electrical in the interior of the car. But a visual inspection of the car does not warrant concern about the wiring on the interior of the car. The firewall did its job and the interior is beautiful. That wooden steering wheel was a very expensive option and really makes a classy addition to the interior. The carpets for the car are in the trunk. This car had every option that was available that year except for the soft top. If you have specific questions please email me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
