Offered here is a 1930 Cadillac coupe with original paint and interior..The car was sold new in Boston Mass. and when found was still in the hands of the original owners family. The car has 31,161 miles on it.I put the car in roadworthy condition keeping in mind the preservation of its original features. My goal was to have the car as close to what it was when new and still be reliable on the road.Here is a list of what was done... The exterior body was rubbed and shined .The fenders were in excellant condition with the exception of paint,so they were refinished in single stage enamel w/hardener.The gloss matches the body well. The chrome was completly refinished at a top shop in Canada at a expence of over $10,000.Its has a mirror like finish.The headlight reflectors were resilvered.The original top insert only needed top dressing and is good condition.The running board covers we replaced .The original pin stripe is worn but present. The body panels are PERFECTLY STRAIGHT. This car had NO DENTS. The door fit is perfect.The wood is as good as the day it left Detroit. The interior is origianl except the front seat buckets. Sometime many years ago some horses ass set a box that had some green liquid in it that stained the seat badly. I had it redone locally and a nice job was done with a excellant match on fabric. The floor mat was remade with brown wool like original. The smoke vanitys are in place with lighter/vanity mirror.The silk shades are in place but worn. The headliner is perfect,tight and clean.All the glass is good. The clear vision wiper assembly does not work but complete.The fine wood around the windows and dash is all org. with wrinkled finish..Steering wheel is nice,all guages in tact. The original dash paint is nice and guages are nice.The org. trunk mat is still in trunk. The chassis was restored with driving in mind.All the brakes were relined.The fuel system was restored with a new elec fuel pump hidden on frame for backup .Its handy for priming the vacuum tank after a long set.The tank was boiled out and sealed/ The carburetor was restored as well vacuum tank. A new Rhode Island wiring harness was installed with proper metalic conduit .The wheels were glass bead blasted and painted a dark green as original.The tires .tubes and flaps were replaced with DENMANS 700/19.The have the old style tread.The chassis was cleaned and painted chassis black. New hoses and belt was installed.The heads were removed and the valves were refaced. New copper gaskets were found NOS! This car is as good original car as you could ask for. The crank,jack and small tools are in the tool box. All the lights and goodies are on it including the radiator ornament .Its a lady with FLYING hair .ITS PERFECT!! Ive been told that they almost always broken when found. This was in the car ,in the trunk in a wood box and the car had a flat cap on it. I was told by the family that it was only used for special occasions.The crank hole cover is also present.
