Jay was gone for 6 months and has recently returned to Raceys. Zach TrivittZach came to Raceys with a background in concrete. When the building sector tanked Zach came to us for employment. Zach was trained under Jay and has become a lead body man. Zach has recently become a father and for some reason he appears a little tired in the mornings now. Mike WeaverMike is the lead mechanic and comes from a 20 year background as shop manager at the local Goodyear store. He has been Racey Auto Sales over 13 years and can answer any question when it comes to mechanics. Randall GardnerRandall is a former Landscaper turned bodyman. He has a few months experience is doing body work. Randall is currently learning the "Racey Way" He is picking up on our process quickly and we hope to employ Randall for years to come. Rob NicklowRob is "grease monkee" hes been with us for 7 years. Rob is an expert in Gas motors. He is responsible for refurbishing the truck (not boom or generator) including engines, transmissions, king pins, brakes rotors tie rod end ect. On his off days he builds cars to race at the local tracks Ricky DennisRicky has been working for us the past 5 years. He started mowing lawns and showed interest in learning to work in our body shop. He is currently continuing to learn bodywork from our experienced body men. Learn more about our restoration process:Step 1Each Truck begins at our Engine and Transmission Shop where Don completes a compression test and checks for any issues with the engine or transmission. Step 2Each truck goes to our body shop where it is completely sanded to bare metal, primered, and resanded. If we find any bad area we replace these areas with Certifit Metal. Step 3Once the body work is completed the truck goes to our specialist, Mike. He evaluates and repairs brakes, exhaust, bearings ect. AND ALSO goes over the Boom and Generator. Step 4Each vehicle is Professionally painted in our paint booth. Step 5We get each vehicle Dot Inspected by an Indpendent gargage (two sets of eyes are always better than one). Each truck comes with a certified Osha Boom Inspection completed by SEI inc. Step 6 Each vehicle is driven 150 to 200 miles by Big Sam! If it does not pass Big Sam‘s test it will go back to Mike until Sam approves the vehicle for sale.
