Here is a very nice, VERY clean 2006 Ford Escape 4WD hybrid SUV. This vehicle was originally purchased new by a local government agency and has only 54,000 original miles on it. It is the cleanest, most like new vehicle I have ever owned, and because I have only put about a hundred miles on it, I would still consider it a one owner vehicle. I love driving it, but my work involves hauling a lot of tools and equipment, and it would be a shame to beat it up. Quite frankly, I think this is an amazing vehicle. It runs and drives fantastic, handles really well, gets incredible mileage, batteries all check out great, the steering is really tight, and the 4 wheel drive works great! It blows hot air from the heater and cold air from the air conditioning, and the radio, CD player, and the myriad of other accessories all seem to work well. It also features the incredibly smooth and durable CVT automatic transmission which works flawlessly. It even has new rear brakes with new rotors and pads. The new brakes have less than 50 miles on them! Unlike most vehicles, it comes with a complete set of service records (all performed by a professional shop), showing all of the work that was every performed on this vehicle: everything from regular oil changes to new wiper blades, along with the date and cost documented. Judging from the records, it looks like this was a very dependable vehicle for them. I have even included a photo of the original dealer’s window sticker, which is included in the records. According to the sticker, this vehicle was named “2005 truck of the year” and was considered the “world’s cleanest, most fuel efficient SUV,” and will get between 28-38 MPG in the city and 24-34 on the highway! I think, like most government agencies, they probably just update their fleet periodically regardless of how many miles are on each vehicle. To me, it drives like a new vehicle. This SUV was used in an area of Oregon that is not near the ocean and does not get much rain. They also do not salt the roads in the area, so it is RUST FREE! (The frame does not even have surface rust!) The paint is also in very nice condition as well. I have included a photo of the frame in the rear fender well. It’s a bit dusty, but you can see that all of the original paint is still intact and if washed, the frame would look like new. These SUV’s have a great reputation for dependability and are used as taxis in some areas. I did some research on these SUV’s and found out that some have even been known to go over 600,000 miles if well maintained! Plus, they are an electric/gas hybrid, so (as you can see in the window sticker photo) they get great mileage (as high as in the 30’s), and are considered a much more green, eco-friendly vehicle than a standard gas-powered Escape. All of this, and they are a very roomy 4WD vehicle too! I tested the 4WD and went up a steep hill with loose gravel, and this Escape didn’t slip once as it flawlessly engaged the 4WD. My 4x4 Chevy pickup actually slips and slides a little going up this same hill. Sorry for the long description, I am just very impressed with this little SUV. I wish I didn’t have to sell it.
