You are bidding on a true survivor. This rare black-on-black Mercury Grand Marquis LS was sold new to a Lancaster County cop, who used it as his Sunday driver - 50,000 miles in 8 years. I bought it and used it as a daily driver and road-tripper - 100,000 miles in 6 years. Most of the things you need to do on these cars when they get old have already been done. The wonky headlight module has been replaced with a remanufactured unit. The rear air suspension was converted to coils. The A/C has been overhauled. An Alpine head unit with USB+bluetooth has been installed. The interior has been kept pristine. People like riding in this car. Known issues: BODY---There is a dent in the left rear door---The paint is chipped and scratched in many locations---There is some pitting on the roof---Some of the plastichrome is missing or faded MECHANICAL---The left front door locks are disconnected from the keyless entry system---The right front door locks are frozen in the "unlocked" position---The left rear tire has a slow leak and needs to be topped off every few days---The instrument cluster was replaced, so 151,000 actual miles show as 125,000 ---The dashboard displays an "AIR SUSP" light since it was replaced with coils With a salvage yard door and some sanding, bondo and paint, this car could be a real looker again. Alternately, use it as cheap reliable transportation to work.
