This is truly one of our all time favorites and we never seem to tire of driving them around town. There's loads of power, tons of luxurious amenities, and enough curb appeal to satisfy anyone. Ok, now for a few details. This amazing two-owner car is in absolutely beautiful condition. We are very excited about the color combination, the condition, and the overall look and feel of this car. To find a nearly 20 year old SL with only 20k miles is nearly impossible making this car extremely rare. The SL-Class Benz is truly one of the ultimate luxury convertibles in the world today. 1999 saw some updates in this timeless classic. There were new SLK-style mirrors, body-colored door handles and side molding, new taillights, a new rear valence and a new tailpipe design. In addition, they added a new shifter and shift-gate, new instrument panel, and a 4-spoke steering wheel. All of this combined to give the SL a sportier stance and better look than ever before. Also new in 1999 was a 5.0L version of the new-generation 4.3L V8 introduced in the E430 and C43 in 1998. This 5.0L version pumps out over 300 HP and will shoot you from 0-60 in just over 6 seconds....what a ride. All this power is put to the pavement via a buttery 5-Speed Automatic Transmission that offers smooth and precise shifts no matter how heavy your foot is. We've sold a number of SL 500's in the past on eBay as this is one of our all-time favorites. We know them quite well and hand pick only the best. Inside, the Nappa leather is to die for and the Wood Trim confirms that you are really driving something special. As you would expect, it comes fully loaded with all of the other features a car of this caliber should have. From the awesome sound system, to the Dual Power Memory Seats and Automatic Climate Control, it's all there. In the trunk you'll find a 6-Disc CD Changer, and don't forget about those eye-catching 18" Sport Wheels......the car just looks amazing!! If you've not experienced the thrill and luxury this car offers, you owe it to yourself to try one....you won't be disappointed!! Also included is a whole host of safety features. Standard equipment includes the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control, Dual Front Airbags, ABS Brakes, and even an automatic Roll Bar just in case. You can electronically raise the bar if you choose, or it will come up automatically should it be necessary. The ESP system momentarily applies the brake on one wheel whenever understeer or oversteer is detected by a central computer using numerous motion and wheel speed sensors. This allows you to really power out of a turn without the worry of the rear end coming out from under you. We hope this never happens, but it's nice to know it's there just in case. This car with all of the options listed was over $80,000 new, and we will sell it for thousands less than you could expect to pay at your local dealer and he doesn't have one anyone with miles like this!! Outside the Brilliant Silver paint shines and glistens with no dents or damage to report. Obviously since it is a used car, you will notice some chips and marks here and there from normal driving that you would expect. The wheels look great all around and there really isn't anything major to report. You will not be disappointed in the quality and condition of this high end roadster. The soft top looks great with no holes, tears or other issues. Inside, the Gray Nappa leather is smooth and supple with no holes, tears or stains. This car has obviously been well cared for and looks and runs like a dream. All interior options/features function normally and there are no known mechanical issues. The car drives beautifully and tracks straight and true down the road. The Carfax and Title are both clean and there is no known accident history. It is sitting on size 245/40 R-18 tires with about 80% tread remaining on the front and rear.
