Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a beautifully appointed and restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro YENKO YSC Tribute car. I am selling this vehicle for a seller who "does not do the internet", and neither he nor I claim to be a Yenko expert, so please contact me with any questions and we will do our absolute best to field them with accurate answers. This car has been part of the sellers collection for the past 10 years, and the owner has decided to sell some of his vehicles. VIN - 124379L514651 The Cowl Tag for this car is: ST 69 (1969) / 12437 (Coupe) / NOR (Norwood Cincinnati Plant) / 353757 - Body number / TR 712 (Black Custom Interior) / 71 - Body Color (LeMans Blue) / 07A - Built in the first week of July / X11 - Exterior Trim Code - Style Trim Group The seller purchased the vehicle after it had been completely gone through at a price significantly higher than the reserve. This is a Yenko “Tribute” and many of the facets of this car are accurate, however to be a complete copy of a Yenko car, some things would need to be changed (interior color to all black, remove shifter console, upgrade to 427 engine, change sway bar and a few other little nuances. This car however does feature Yenko correct badging, stripe package, cowl induction hood, spoiler, engine badging, valve covers, air cleaner, and 140mph speedometer. Engine / Transmission / Drivetrain The 396 Big Block is outfitted and appears just like a 427 with 427 badging, valve covers, and appearance. The engine sounds healthy and fantastic with no smoke, weird noises, and / or knocks. The engine is responsive and sounds fantastic through the dual exhaust. The starter was recently replaced and makes a "click" sound, which we were told was the starter needing to be shimmed/adjusted. This will be fixed before the vehicle is picked up. The rear end was recently rebuilt as well. The odometer of the Camaro says 003910, which has rolled over and due to the restoration, it is unclear the number of "actual miles". The t-21 “rock crusher” four speed transmission shifts great, no issues whatsoever. This car is very fun to drive! Steering The car sports much of its original style steering components and thus drives like a period correct muscle car. There is very minimal play in the steering wheel, which is fairly common among Camaros of this era. Brakes / Tires The Camaro has disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear. The tires are practically new and are 225/45/17's on the front and 265/40/17 on the rear. The car stops as it should, no weird pulling or noises. The rims are an upgrade but definitely pay homage to the style of rim that was available on the original Yenko Camaros. Body The body is in excellent shape and the paint shines extremely well for an older restoration. The paint has a few very small blemishes which are highlighted in pictures below. The car has one tiny area of rust on the roof, more like three little dots. I was informed by the owner that this has been there the majority in not all of the time that he has had possession of the car, and has not gotten any worse. Interior The interior is in fantastic condition. The seats are in great shape, and have YSC stamped on the headrest portion (original Yenkos had the letters actually stitched in). The seats also have white/black houndstooth inserts versus the all black which was in Yenko’s, but honestly it does cut down in how hot the seats get, especially in Texas during the summer. The dash is in great shape, gauges all appear to work accurately and dome light works correctly. The radio has been upgraded, but still looks vintage. The only condition issue I can note is on the drivers door panel where some of the black interior paint has worn off revealing the original blue color. The car features a 140mph speedometer which is correct for the Yenko cars. Trunk The trunk opens well, has factory style liner and decals present. Underneath the liner there is some surface rust, which is unfortunately common with these rubber trunk liners. A good wire wheeling, some Ospho, and some black paint will take care of the trunk. Frame / Underside The vehicle has some surface rust here and there but is in very nice shape. It has not been sprayed all over with rubber undercoating, so no surprises. No leaks or evidence of leaking that I know of. I do have videos of the Camaro on cold start and driving down the road that I can share as well. TO ALL BUYERSPlease be aware that this is a classic vehicle and is being sold as-is. The seller and I have done our absolute best to present the vehicle as accurately as possible. We welcome anyone who would like to come see the vehicle or have a third party come check it out, by appointment. $500 deposit due within 24 hours after the sale, and remainder to be paid in full upon pickup. We can store the car for up to 30 days in an enclosed facility and will assist with shipping however we can. Feel free to ask any questions. PHOTOS Rust spots on the roof....very hard to see.
