Vehicle Detail
1972 GMC C10 I bought this truck locally a few months back. When I bought it I was going to keep but unfortunately Im not at the stage in my life were I can keep everything so this has to go. This is very neat looking truck that gets compliments every were it goes.I will try to describe everything I know about the truck in this add,but I also included 52 photos along with a video so you can see everything I hope. With that said keep in mind this is not a brand new truck with zero miles on it.The truck may have good and bad things that may not be in the photos or the add. What I will do is tell you everything I know good or bad about the truck, but if you end up winning the truck and for example have to change the brake pads a month later or a week later after driving it,this is out of my control. The brakes are just fine and it was just a example. I had an old truck I sold to someone and it was not a very nice truck but it wasn't horrible either. It was just a old chevy c30. The winning bidder ended up getting me to do a bunch of extra work to it and buy some parts and then stuck me with the bill. Then he left me my first negative feedback because I stopped doing his demands. He was a dishonest person and also got over on the car transporter that hauled the truck to him. I do go above and beyond for all my customers and do not mind it at all as long as they are not rude people. Back to the truck. The paint seems to be original all though I think the cowl was repainted at one point only cause I saw red under neath were there was chipping. But if I did not see the red under it there would be no way to tell. All the panels match and all the patina seems to have the same age to the look. The lighter green is more flat then the darker green but both look so cool together. The paint is not flawless it has some rock chips some touch up spots there and here, one small dent on the roof above the back window, some fading in places, but all this makes it look so cool I think. I cant find any real rot rust any were. The door bottoms do have some rust. The passenger door inside edge lip has rust but the last owner use POR 15 on it to stop it. I looked under the truck a little and did not see any rust. When I say rust I mean rust that is a issue. The frame or exhaust may may have a little surface rust but nothing serious just normal dirt. I think the rocker was replaced also at some point. Thats all I can think of ,oh ya I unplugged the horn because it gets stuck sometimes and the drivers side front shock may need to be replaced only cause when I hit a pot hold the other day it seemed stiffer then normal. The guy I bought it from is a manger at a large tire and suspension shop and he is the one who lowered it and put the wheels on it. I think he said he put new spindles, shocks, coils, and doesn't bars. The truck handles really good and stays straight. It does not bounce around or anything like that. The interior is brand new about two weeks old and looks great. The seats are a dark green with light green plaid inserts, door panels are green with wood inserts, and new green dash pad. Along with a GMC center console. All is brand new. All the lights and signals work. The original seats were green with green plaid inserts according to the trim tag. Im not sure what motor was inside the truck originally but the service paper work I have found says 400 but maybe it was the 454 and they made a mistake because I was told by the last owner that the 454 has a 72 date code on it. I do not know much about the motor but my mechanic looked at it and he said that it defiantly not a factory 454 and that someone spent some money on it. What that means I have no clue (I'm not a motor person sorry( but it is fast and sounds really good. Also the tires are all in really good condition. All the windows close tight and the doors shut tight. You do have to shut it hard though sometimes I think its because the handle gets stuck up a little. On Apr-02-18 at 10:17:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been doing some research on this Truck and it looks like this was originally a real Highlander after looking at the Trim tag in the glove box. The Truck has the "Z62" code which means Custom Deluxe Equip., but next it has the "613" Code which is the Highlander code for the Green Plaid inserts. Just thought that I would point that out. Apparently the 613 Is a rare option on the 1972 pick up. The plaid material that was used was bought from a company that specializes in OEM GM products. ThanksOn Apr-07-18 at 15:47:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Please Read :I went to look at under the rockers for someone and if you see in the photos of the driver side you will see white spots down low on the out side of the rocker. There is some rust spots in that area. It’s not horrible but I want to point it out. When there is one spot that has a small hole. I have never noticed it when looking at the truck. It was not until I got on my knees is when I noticed it. I still think it looks super cool and it does not bother me but I want to be clear that it is there. Thanks
